But you know what, as at today the suspension on licences for arms is still on. Not for even pistols but pump action or cartridge shot guns. Those that have cannot renew licenses not to talk of aquiring new ones. Some fulani IG during buharis time withdrew all licenses. I don't see why the current IG cannot reverse the policy considering people have to defend themselves.

Self defense in a lawless society would lead to anarchy yes. In a society governed by rule of law There maybe gun violence i.e. If there are no proper gun control mechanism in place but it would greatly reduce criminality if there are more honest people in the society than criminals. If a criminal understand that the person he his trying to harm in house may have arms and trained in weapon handling he would have to re think his decisions. The other alternative is to decentralised policing and enabling trained armed community Policing, local government policing, state government policing.

This is past anarchy I don't know what he is saying. Or this people haven't killed enough people.
