This is getting out of hand. Something drastic should be done. Local vigilante group should be set up but should be under strict Police supervision.

Since the government has failed, the only solution for now is for every community to set up their own vigilante.

I think these herdsmen do study the porousness of these communities before they carry out attack..

Our security operatives are never on ground to protect life and property, they are hired to protect organizationss and high networth individuals.

Even now Nigeria is far peaceful than say 400 years ago, when you could get kidnapped from even your home in broad daylight, and get taken to the shore to be sold to European slave traders, or to Arab traders for the long trek up North to arabia. Edo and Igala land fought a brutal war in the 17th century. In the 18th century large swathes of the North learned to fear the Kwaraffa, or the Jukun. The fulani empire drove hundreds of minority tribes to the hills for protection, and in IGbo land people fought with each other and sold each other as slaves. Yourbaland...all sorts of wars...including the one where Illorin fell, and when the British came around, there was a whole civil war going on.
