Nigeria, a country where you don't have to be the brain to become a ruler, but an asshole.

How could Sagari, a little better than an illiterate become president in an election where you had American educated Azikiwe and British trained legal luminary Awolowo?
The same nonsense persists today

Nigeria's North has never been a fan of Western education. It didn't start today. At some point, they planned to secede because of the educational gap between the South and North was wide.

If Nigeria were a country that knew how to identify and harness talent, since they are really good in farming and cattle rearing, their efforts would be concentrated around agriculture. Everyone cannot be forced to get to tertiary education....they can get secondary education at least.

Shagari was just a grade 11 teacher.
SMH for Nigeria

You don't need too much education to be a good president. What is needed are things like excellent leadership / collaborative qualities, a reasonable amount of charisma, wisdom, pragmatism and a burning desire to make a positive change for posterity. We have so many PhD holders and professors in Nigeria who are very narrow minded, hopelessly corrupt, generally ignorant and tribal zealots. The ability to cram or study, and pour it out in exams is only a test of comprehension and memory recall. It does not prove intelligence.

Ofcourse! Because he was from your region. And one man from your region is equal to 100 men from other people’s region.

And that was why Azikwe left his own region and sought to become a Premier in other people’s region.

Abi no be so?

I have never seen people suffering from Grandiose Delusions in the entire Universe like your people.

You use your hands to plot your downfall and then blame others for your misfortunes.

It’s insane that the most incompetent of them won due to tribalism.

Leadership has been Nigeria’s problem.

North threw three contestant into that election and still won. Didn't the three candidates divide the Northern votes?
