Only visitor's visa takes this long. I'll advise they mail IRCC or go there physically with all the documents they submitted. Its already one year. Ridiculous.
Reach out so i can ask further questions to get some clarity and to define progression.

All the best.

I really need assistance. How do I start the study visa application? I want to apply for myself and my dependents. How do I go about biometric and medicals?
Old or new portal?

Please help!!

Create on IRCC portal. GC KEY or name and . There are columns for your Medicals and Biometrics in the new portal. You may need to them or merge them with your documents in the old portal. But you can use any of the two. Only that the MB allocation in the new portal is smaller than the old portal.

All the best.

My study permit application was refused yesterday. So sad about it.
The VO said " your assets and financial situation are insufficient to the stated purpose of travel for yourself". And that they're not satisfied I'll leave Canada after my studies.

My agent submitted all the required documents from my sponsor (brother), which includes his company , Cac, building property evaluation, tax clearance, birth certificate and ID cards and also attached my own personal bank statement which does not have enough money in it.

Please what can I do about this in order to see if I can reapply and defer my ission to September intake?
Thanks.

Have you found a way out yet?
If not, I can guide you on some steps to take after asking some questions.

Yes only that the dependent spouse will not be issued a Spousal Open Work Permit(SOWP) unless it is a Master Program.

I'm sorry if I'm asking on a wrong thread.

I'm 44 and want to study HVAC-R (heating ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration), a year trade school program in Canada.

Please where should I start from?
I only have my credentials and port with me.
Please How much would I need as POF for me alone?
And is there a possiblity to relocate my family if eventually I was able to get PR?
I'm sorry if my questions are not orderly please. I'm newbie 🙏

Good day everyone, I am planning on studying 2years carpentry and renovation program in nova scotia college, please I am allowed to come with my spouse? If my 2years fee is total 33,000 cad, how much I am suppose to present as pof, can stock also serve as a proof? Will my partner be giving open work visa during my study.
EbenMayor(m): 9:20pm On Apr 18
The visit visa should improve your chance provided you meet the POF requirements. An alternative way is to come in with your visit visa since you already have that and then apply for a SP. I think this will be faster and easier.

I just got ission to Fanshawe college today although I have a valid Canada visit visa valid for 10 years.

Will that increase my chances for student visa??

Firstly, what is your current profession, is the HVAC related to what you do presently?
You need to confirm if the course you are interested in is eligible for post graduate work permit.
Then check the tuition cost for the programme and check IRCC website for the POF you need.
Going with family depends on the programme you are doing, only master's student in programmes that 16 months and above in lenght can bring their families in presently.

Thanks for the response.

I have Btech Elec/Elect but I do HVAC for survival. Would I be considered?

The HVAC program is not related to Elect/Elect.
The HVAC is 1 year program which means my family won't be allowed.

Thanks in anticipation sir.

Originally from submission to collection should not take more than a week. Let your friend vfs for update, or let him go there, at times due to error in the email, applicants may not get the vfs tracking message

Please check if the course is eligible for PGWP first, before taking any steps to apply for it. Then you should be preparing your POF too.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to have a level of estimate of my wife's chances. We just applied, shes's going for an MBA, we've paid the mandated $10k out of $53k, we did a GIC of $25k CAD, I sold one of my properties for 70m and deposited in a new globus bank and also included the documentation as proof for the source of funds, the is supposed to be used for her studies in canada, I have around $19k USD in my DOM and I showed my payslips, i earn around $5k monthly. I'm not migrating with her and I'm her sponsor. Is there anything else I could have done to improve my application, I'm just asking incase there is a denial so we can maybe start preparing for it now

The N70m could have been moved to her so it can be shown it is accessible to her at all times.

With the current situation in Canada, please make sure to thoroughly research the PR pathways available after an MBA. Many international students even those with families are now stranded after their PGWP expires, without a clear path to permanent residency, despite having invested their life savings in this journey.
Personally, if I had your kind of budget, I would either move to a province with a solid PR pathway for master's graduates like ontario master graduate steam in selected university , or have my spouse go to Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, or Togo for six months of intensive French training to improve our chances for PR under french draw.l wish you all the best!

Hi,

Please I need advice - My sister received port request last week for her course starting in May - 5th May 2025.
Is there an expedited way to sent her port and get it back in one week or less?

Thanks

Relocating to Ontario by Xmas as a dependent and wondering if it’s going to make sense to learn cybersecurity before going as a plan C.
