jidemilo:He makes sense na u nor think am deeply.. Kalu reasoned as an Igbo man that has businesses all over naija |
bigiyaro(m): 5:42pm On Apr 16 |
Nefort:you are very naive, go and check wether Yoruba land or Igbo land, there are areas where even Yoruba or Igbo men don't venture into again, the place is completely occupied by Fulanis and hausas, do you think it will be like that in the next 20 years? How many kids will you have in you life time? Highest 3 or 4 kids for the average family in the south. The average in the North is 15 to 20 kids and they are all pushed towards the south. Do some research bro. Am sure some people will be saying the same thing you are saying some 50 years ago. 3 Likes |

The whole state of origin concept is archaic.

This is a welcome development. It will increase integration and development of host communities even better because they will feel more connected to it. Anything that would bring about a progressive Nigeria, i am open for it.

Nefort: The indigene bill has nothing to do with tribe. It refers strictly to state of residence and spousal relationship with and indigene of a STATE. You should be able to see through the paranoia of these Yorubas from outside Lagos. They don't care about Akure, Ekiti, Ogbomosho etc. They just don't want to lose Lagos or have serious competition with people of other tribes born and raised in Lagos. Lagos is what they are crying about. Not the Yoruba tribe. Read between the lines. 1 Like 1 Share |

DMerciful: Then Nigeria should disintegrate. 3 Likes |

bigiyaro:If that is what you are concerned about then I am sorry to tell you that even if that bill doesn't it wouldn't stop the Fulanis from using surplus birth to populate the south. It will happen gradually over many years even without the bill. Same way immigrants will populate western countries if the birth rate in western countries remains low. 1 Like |

DMerciful: ![]() This going about forcing yourself on people who don’t want you, if he pain you too much ![]() Better focus on developing your 5plot of potopoto land, because non of our land will be annexed by primitive Osu cave men from Osu land, btw proudly lagos ![]() 5 Likes |

T9ksy:It will significantly reduce tribalism because people will be encouraged to settle outside their ancestral lands without the fear of being second class residents. It encourages Nigerians to mix up, and the more we mix up the more we get comfortable with each other and realize focusing on tribal differences is just pointless. |
codemaniacs: 6:05pm On Apr 16 |
DMerciful: your tongue is deceiving you... you claim you want equal rights but in truth and reality you don't want equal rights what you want is equal privileges.. you already have equal rights... you just don't have equal privileges... the only way to get equal or superior privileges is by taking political power from the indigenes and this is you, Senator Kalu's and the f:ula:nis main goal.. 2 Likes |
codemaniacs: 6:10pm On Apr 16 |
Nefort: why do you want to settle outside your ancestral land where you are already 1st class citizens and go to where you will always be 2nd class citizens. people will always be 2nd class citizens where they don't control the politics and are not the majority.. you cannot force the majority to treat you as 1st class citizens unless you control the politics of that state or use a higher authority like Kalu is doing now to try to change the laws which means there's no difference between you, Kalu and killer herd:smen terrorists.... 4 Likes |

Ojiofor:That’s because he (Tinubu) hails from one of the distinct cultural groups (the Yoruba group) the writer is talking about and this very group doesn’t discriminate against themselves; once you’re Yoruba, the State you come from becomes secondary (I know you’re surprised because no other region in Nigeria has this civility) ![]() 2 Likes 1 Share |

ProudlyLagos:Wait which land are you referring to ? Am sure you talking about Yoruba land n not Lagos Cos Lagos is clearly gone to the IGBOS The IGBOS have annexed Lagos without shooting a single bullet.... |
codemaniacs: 6:18pm On Apr 16 |
Nefort: the same tribalism that is making you overlook and turn a blind eye to the under-development of your ancestral lands caused by politicians you share the same tribe with is what you are accusing others that are not the same tribe as you... go and call out your politicians that are stealing and under-developing your ancestral lands that is making you to eye other peoples ancestral land who have hard working politicians who progressing and developing their own ancestral lands.. since you cannot call out your own tribes politicians for corruption and under-development then you are a tribalist and a hypocrite. infact you are a hypocrite and tribalist... 2 Likes |

codemaniacs:What sort of question is that in bold? You think people decide to settle somewhere else without good reasons? It's like asking Nigerians why they want to japa and become immigrants somewhere else. |
codemaniacs: 6:24pm On Apr 16 |
Nefort: Nigerians japa because they want to earn a better currency than the Naira.. the whole of Nigeria uses Naira... so why would a Nigerian want to leave their ancestral land where they are already earning in Naira to another person's ancestral land where that land is also using the same Naira.. 2 Likes |

What's the population of the yorubas residing in SE? In there own case, there population here might even be more than they have in their region. Hence, the bill needs to be stopped. Na style them wan take takeover our land.
|
Ojiofor: 6:33pm On Apr 16 |
Armaggedon: And during census they want them to be counted in their states of residence but they can not vote or be voted for🤣 |
Nefort: 6:43pm On Apr 16 |
codemaniacs:What sort of stupid assumption is that? I haven't even told you where I came from and you are actually assuming my ancestral lands is underdeveloped. And what suggests to you that I am "eyeing" other people's lands? |
codemaniacs: 6:46pm On Apr 16 |
Nefort: you don't have to tell where you come from before I know you come from an under developed land if your ancestral land is developed then you would not be eyeing other people's lands... go and call out your own politicians and develop your ancestral lands.. stop been covetous and greedy.. 2 Likes |
Nefort: 6:50pm On Apr 16 |
codemaniacs:If you are asking that part in bold then I have to stop talking to you because I can see you are not smart enough and worth my time. So it didn't occur to you that people can have investments that can thrive beter in a region outside their ancestral lands which will necessitate their relocation to the region to monitor their investments? |
codemaniacs: 6:55pm On Apr 16 |
Nefort: A business that thrives outside of your ancestral land within the same country is not a stable business unless you are in same social circles as those who control the politics of that state.... 1 Like |
