The whole state of origin concept is archaic.

The indigene bill has nothing to do with tribe. It refers strictly to state of residence and spousal relationship with and indigene of a STATE.

You should be able to see through the paranoia of these Yorubas from outside Lagos. They don't care about Akure, Ekiti, Ogbomosho etc. They just don't want to lose Lagos or have serious competition with people of other tribes born and raised in Lagos.

If that is what you are concerned about then I am sorry to tell you that even if that bill doesn't it wouldn't stop the Fulanis from using surplus birth to populate the south. It will happen gradually over many years even without the bill. Same way immigrants will populate western countries if the birth rate in western countries remains low.
