A large group of women in Rivers State have once again taken to the streets of Port Harcourt to demand the restoration of democracy and express their for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, News360 Nigeria reports.

Chanting solidarity songs and carrying placards, the women declared their stance clearly with the message, “We want Sim.”

The protesters, dressed mostly in red, said their demonstration was aimed at defending the mandate freely given to Governor Fubara by the people during the last election.

They accused political actors of trying to destabilize governance in the state and suppress the will of the people.

“We are tired of the political drama. What we want is peace, good governance and the man we elected to continue his work. We want Sim!” one of the protesters shouted.

This is not the first time women in the state have come out in protest amid the ongoing political tension in Rivers.

Their message remains consistent— for Governor Fubara and a call for an end to political interference that threatens the state’s democratic process.

Why are they using women for pro and against ?

What's going on ?

Who was paid for this contract of mobilising pro today and and against tomorrow ?

Can't these women see through this mindless use of their feminity ? 😕

And I can even see women who appears educated there and not just old illiterate women.

Can't the boyfriends and husbands of these women rescue these women from this shameless 2k per day venture since it seems they've all lost their minds and senses ?

I am not against protests but if we want to protest let us all come out .

And not bringing women out every eke market day and have them in stupid props and dumb theatrics.

See them gagged like fools !

Nonsense !

No Rivers woman can embark on orotest against the state of Emergency.

What you see here are house wives hired from Abia state and Imo state.

We have on good record that Fubara hired this housewives from Abia and Imo state.

The Abia state government already issued a statement warning women from Abia state who embark on orotest in Rivers state to desist from it or face whatever they see.
