Well, I have three 580w s and a 550w in series, which should make ~2200w.

I make 1.8kw continuous on a good day of sunlight. So about 82% output, which is well within spec considering other factors.

Thanks man

Good day house, happy palm sunday,
Please who have install browsers 6va hybrid before,
Iwant to know if i can upto if. I can connect more 6000watts in to one pv input or i must split between the two input.

Growatt 48v 6kw - ~500k
Eight Jinko 550w - 1m
Not sure if there's a 10kwh Deriy pack but it's probably your best option here. You go need extend your budget to 3m last last but this should take you off-grid entirely.
HeavenlyBang please point me to where you are seeing the Growatt and Jinko 550w for those prices please. Been searching online with no luck. Thanks.

I have done the total consumption estimate calculation. Please see below. And the 2.5m covers s (4 x Jinko 550w and above minimum), accessories and installation fee.

Device Quantity Power (Watt) per unit Total Power (Watts)

52" LG Flat TV 1 ~120 W 120 W
Laptop 2 ~60 W 120 W
PS5 Pro 1 ~220 W 220 W
Xbox Series X 1 ~200 W 200 W
Standing Fan 2 ~70 W 140 W
Refrigerator (medium) 1 ~150 W (avg running) 150 W
Energy Bulbs (LED, 10W) 10 10 W 100 W
Water Dispenser 1 ~550 W (heating + cooling) 550 W

You need to factor our your watt-hour consumption..not just the watts.

Guys, I installed 3 units of 48v ( Max) 600watts Africell solar s connected in series on a 3.5KVA Wellion Hybrid inverter. The display on the inverter shows an open circuit voltage of 132V and the highest power output I have gotten is 500watts even when the sun is brightest. What could be wrong ?

I think your installer or installation is wrong.

PV cable size and distance, orientation, partial shadinetc. also how long has it been in use, you may just have not gotten bright sun in them

It was installed less than a month ago. We used a 6mm paired cable. Cable length is about 10m

Lots of fake Africell s on the market. There's a reason most people here recommend Jinko from Fouani.

Welcome fellow enthusiast.

3.5kw 24V hybrid inverter (Welion, Sako, SMS, Growatt) - 350k
5 600W or higher-rated Solar s (Jinko, Canadian) - 700-800k
24V 10kwh Lithium battery (Deriy, CWorth, SMS, Sako, DIY) - 1.3-1.6m
Installation materials and installation fee- whatever change is left will do this.

Make sure whatever item you're getting is genuine. Reach out if you need any assistance in getting them.
Apart from sms and maybe deriy, u wont get others at that price range?

They are one of the official distributors of Growatt in Nigeria. I have bought there twice.

He can still do 4 based on his budget and manage it with grid pending when he's able to add s on later.

My bad, there's no 6kw unit on Fouani. You can just buy the 5kw 5000TL-HVM-P instead, I think.

Or you can buy the 6kw from Sygniteng like someone else recommended. It's the same price as the 5000TL-HVM-P on Fouani but is also a better inverter.

I'm facing same issue. Mine is CWorth's 350w(×3) equalling 1050w. The highest I've gotten during peak period is 535w.

I'm staying at the down floor of a 2 storey building, making it difficult and costly mounting the s on the roof. So I had to install it by the side of the building. So I'm guessing the building is affecting the PV's output.

There is a brand "Haisic" that sells 25.6v 8kwh for 800k (as contained in their spec sheet, it's a Grade B battery)
How good is Haisic?

Thank you. Will go for this. I assume that the solar charge controller is inbuilt so I am not buying that or any other accessory separately? As you recommended I just need to include the s and the battery?

If the cc in that inverter is >=100a, the problem is insufficient voltage. You need to add more s to move closer to the mppt range

Yeah, it's a hybrid and has a built in MPPT. The inverter, battery, and s are the key things.

Then you need cables and breakers but those are much smaller expenses.

That wouldn't limit his output to 500w, though. Don't think I've seen an MPPT that requires higher than 120v startup, which his s supply.

I have seen it many times. Sako 5.5kva, I used Jinko 450w x4 and the yield was below 10% till I added 2 more s.

Mrreed is actually right. The 120-120v range is for the CC to wake up and not necessarily function best. The best MPPT range should be in the manual. Rule of thumb is starting from X2 of the minimum input voltage. Anything from about 240 to 300v

What was your battery voltage during the 500w yield? It is the first thing you consider.

It's not just the building. Cworth s are shit. I have 5 of them installed and the highest I have gotten from them at peak sun is 1.2kw out of the 1.75kw.

Even when I tested it with my multimeter before mounting it. The Isc is not up to what is on the label but the Voltage is.
