Let me call my uncle and inform him of my decision.
Once it turns positive, before month end I'll be in Lagos. Thank goodness he stays in a spacious 3 bedroom flat in orile.
Once I land, I'll desperately look for work. I'm 99 percent sure I'll make it in Lagos.
you would make it with 100k

There are lots of opportunities in Lagos and the challenges are daunting too.
They don't pick money on the street in Lagos, what skills do you have?
If the only thing you have to make money is your muscles, Lagos will frustrate your life.
Are there items or products you can bring from the East and sell here? Even if na ogbono.
Is your food, clothing and shelter guaranteed before you find your footing?
Lagos is Africa's New York. People from several countries are desperately looking for money here.
May you not fall into the hands of scammers and ritualists.

Good morning people. I noticed that majority of s on this site live in Lagos.
Most of my childhood friends have traveled to Lagos.
That aside, I want to relocate to Lagos. I have an uncle that used to stay in orile (2018).
I can camp in his house for the main time.
If I come to Lagos, can I get a job that can pay me like 100k and above every month. I have my waec and neco. I just turned 25.
I feel if I change environment, things will begin to go well for me.. and I heard there are lots of jobs in Lagos.
Here in the east, no work or company. Only Keke bus business that's thriving
Please can I make it in Lagos? I need suggestions. This is a life changing decision please
100 to 200k, with WAEC and NECO Certificate? Lol, even people with HND and Bsc aren't finding it easy to get it. Bro, it's neither easy here too. Your WAEC and NECO may not get you such. I think you should acquire skills to your certificate. It is very hard to see a firm in Nigeria that will pay a WAEC or NECO holder 100k, let alone 200k.

Many Igbos would have been useless in life if not for the fact that they came to Lagos. DispatcherLagos entered Lagos with only 15k in his pocket. Today, he's busy insulting Yorubas.
You dey fight for Biafra but you dey beg to enter Lagos.

Let your uncle put you in his line of business, if it is a legit business.
Coming to Lagos to just hustle for factory job is not easy. The factory job may be located in a place far from where you are living
Transportation is a major expenses for most Lagosian. Also, be sure that the job is legit. Lots of scammers are on the prowl, looking for "magas" to chop. Non existing jobs are written on walls, on roads and pasted in market places, with the amount to be paid stated, asking one to call a certain number for the job - just beware. Lagos could be unforgiven to the newbies and uninformed
Let your uncle you and guide you through. This is a culture among the Igbos that is being fast eroded. Uncles are no more behaving like uncle to their nephews and nieces. It was not like that before. Uncles were looked up to, especially the well -to-do and highly educated. The well-to-do uncle would take his brother's children and trained them in his trade and settle them, thus, sustaining the progress of the entire "umunna" kindred. Those in paid employment would help their nephews and nieces that have finished services, relocated to Lagos, with employment tips and vacancies. It is no more like that these days. Uncles sees their nephews as threat, especially, if their own children are not doing well. Everything now is competition in my place. The family bond and unity that once held sway, have been broken by the "enemy" and the entire kindred has disintegrated.
My uncle has retired. He doesn't work again. But he will allow me come stay with him.

I saw a job advert on the job/vacancy section for factory work 7 to 5 (Monday to Saturday) for 100k. I feel it's okay for me. I wish I was in Lagos, I'd have taken it honestly
In Lagos it's better to live closer to where you are working.. because if where you are working is far.. transportation will consume a lot of your salary...transportation costs will be high if your place of work is far

Learn a skill or trading. Your SSCE cert cannot do much for you in Lagos and the 100k job is most likely fake. Feel free to post only the address here and we would confirm.
You are just 25.
Learn a skill. By 30 you would be better placed. Don't wait until then to start whining. ✌️
I want to learn barbing in Lagos. Or will you suggest any skill that will make me a millionaire after learning it? I want to travel abroad so I want to start saving after learning the skill. I feel like I have failed in life. Please point me to the right direction ma
Staying back here have stunted my financial growth. I want to relocate to a better place than here.
Whatever I want to do (learn skill or work) I want to do it in Lagos. They said opportunities abound in Lagos and I believe it because most of my childhood friends are already there.

Do not let them deceive you. The person who d that job offer will take it himself or give it to his family member if it is genuine.
And again, what's the status of your uncle,is he married, have children? What does he do? Have you informed him of your coming?
Be careful inorder not to find yourself in the streets. It happened to some of us years ago,it was tough but God was merciful.
If you can get a place to stay first off,you can survive by doing some odd jobs here and there while finding some footing.
So the job is not real?
It's lush hair weavon company

Orile Agege is at Agege,a different area entirely and full of yorubas. Main Orile is mostly somehow more of Igbos.
