Of course America was doing better - there was almost full employment of HIGH-PAYING JOBS!!!
Not wages driven down by made-in-China and cheap immigrant labor!
Of course China didn't point a gun. It was drip, drip, drip, then you wake up one day and everything is made in China!

You cited 1933. See the rate just ten years later.
High-paying jobs o. Not "made-in-China" jobs that you have to live paycheck to paycheck!

Lol. Story. You picked one year and you think America has alway been doing better. Check out the unemployment rate in America since 1960. What is even China-made jobs? Lol. At this point, you are crying more than the Americans.

Was it China that made America unemployment rate to be 7.5% in 1992?

Well, your argument is neither here nor there. If America thinks their unemployment rate is high, then, they should do something about it. But if they feel imposing tarrifs on other countries is what will increase the employment rate, then let's wait and see.

US unemployment rate is 4.2% as at today, which is not bad. But if you want America to have zero unemployment rate, they should hire you so you can give them clues on how to make sure no one is unemployed in America.

At the end of the day, the ball is in America court. They can even decide to stop importation from China. 😅😅

In 1943, the US was engulfed in the Second World War. Large numbers of white working males were drafted to fight in the war. There was therefore a labor shortage. Black men found lots of jobs that were previously carried out by white men.

American unemployment rate will NEVER be zero because many people in the country are conditioned for generations to believe that the worst thing anybody can do is to get a job working for someone else. So anything near 2% is full employment.

China-made jobs are when there are massive number of low-wage jobs resulting in fake "low unemployment", compared to America of old when all blue-collar jobs were high-paying jobs.

The way to low unemployment is NOT by shipping all your manufacturing jobs overseas because, don't you know, labour is cheaper over there!

Lol. You are really funny. How is that evidence I showed you a non-profit agenda?

Show me articles by economists. Evidence on the ground shows that more Americans are earning far better than years ago.

Let's even assume, without conceding, that Americans are earning less today. Whose fault is that? Every country in this world has suffered inflation such that what you earn today if adjusted for inflation may just be a little higher than wages earned 50 years ago. It doesn't affect only Americans. It affects every country, including Nigeria. So, I don't understand the tears being shed for America.

So, if you feel Americans are earning less today because of China, then they should stop importing from China so we can hear word.

You reducing yourself to insults belittles you. It is usually what the intellectually weak cling to when they have nothing tangible to say.

The fact that you think Dullard Trump has something up there says a lot about you. That slowpoke just crashed the stockmarket and is destroying the US economy.

You have a poor understanding of economics. If the US wanted to be a juggernaut in ship manufacturing, it could easily go so but it would hurt it. It would be pouring resources into an industry it has little competitive advantage.

You keep repeating this myth that US manufacturing is dead. It isn't! It has the seond largest manufacturing capacity in the world. It is far from dead. The combined capacity of the next three after the US don't match its capacity!

https://www.safeguardglobal.com/resources/blog/top-10-manufacturing-countries-in-the-world/

Top Manufacturing Countries

China – 31.6% Global Manufacturing Output
United States – 15.9% Global Manufacturing Output
Japan – 6.5% Global Manufacturing Output
– 4.8% Global Manufacturing Output
India – 2.9% Global Manufacturing Output
South Korea – 2.7% Global Manufacturing Output
Russia – 1.8% Global Manufacturing Output
Italy – 1.8% Global Manufacturing Output
Mexico – 1.7% Global Manufacturing Output
– 1.6% Global Manufacturing Output

US high labour of $70 versus $40 in Canada and $6 in Mexico is why companies are shifting factories there or import goods from there. There are products the US does quite well in despite its labour cost. This, it focuses on.

If Nigeria can see through china and the west and do away with both

This is humourou.s Without China, a barrel of crude oil would be $20, and the Naira would $1-N3,500.

China could even make Nigeria a manufacturing juggernaut by adding the country to the Belt and Road Initiative.

A scheme that meant to open up your local market for Chinese goods and kill off local competition. Or don't you know that china is killing the world economy, leaving the world depended on china? Or have you or anyone you know tried exporting to china recently?

In ship building, tell me how will a country that that wants a free and fair trade limits foreign built ships from making port at it's port.

Can you pull up a bar chart about these and project where america will be in 30yeaes time if nothing is done about it. The first question you should ask yourself is this; is it true that all other countries have been taking advantage of the US in of trade?

Is it true that those tarrifs that Trump said other countries charges the US, are those figures really true?

Let me give you an example. Trump said Vietnam charges 90% tarrifs on US imports. So, he imposed 46% tarrifs on Vietnam imports. But is it really true that Vietnam imposes 90% tarrifs on US imports?

The way some of you believe this pathological liar of a president is something else. That was how he deceived you people that he won 2020 election and was rigged and people like you believed him.
Sorry!

Vietnam charges an average of 9.4% tarrfics on US imports. But he told empty heads like you that it is 90% and you all believed him.

That was how he said the US subsidies canada with 250 billion dollars every year. How?

Trade deficits and tariffs are economic issues. They aren't taught in Yoruba or in Physical Education

Being an industrialised economy is no longer a big deal. Many poor countries are even industrialised like India or Indonesia.

Rich countries today should really be referred to as knowledge based economies.

As economies become richer, there comes a stage where manufacturing as a percentage of GDP begins to decline. It is services that take up the slack.

The most advanced principality in the world today is Hong Kong where over 90% of its economy relies on services.

Do you know the pew research centre? I showed you evidence from pew research centre and you are still arguing.

Please, stop with your lies. How can you say people with first degrees can't afford what their parents could afford? I live abroad and I can tell you for free that young people here are living far better lives. You don't have to lie to make any point. Or you are equating the Nigeria situation to what is happening here? Do you know there are more millionaires and billionairea under 50 years in American today that there were 50 years ago. You people just lie blatantly.

I listened to the video. He mentioned Kuwait. Please, how does the US enable Kuwait sell their oil for the US to be entitled to 25% of proceeds? Please, how does Japan prevent Americans from doing business in Japan? There are many US companies operating in Japan. Evidence has actually showed that people who really believe Trump have low IQ. Because you have to have a low IQ to believe the gibberish the man says. He was whining about Japanese cars selling in the US. But he forgets apple, Facebook, instagram Google, etc have taken over the Japanese media space. Major banks in Japan are US banks. Japan is a major buyer of US military equipment, from fighter jets to missile defense systems. He believes the US should eat their cake and also have it. Joker.

It is actually good. Trump should decouple from the rest of the world. This is what I think he should do; stop importation of goods from other countries (China, Japan, South Korea, EU,Canada and other countries he has imposed tarrifs on). Other countries will stop importation from the US. The dollar will be discarded as the world currency for trade. Then we will see which country will suffer more. Infact, this is what he should have done in his first term. Let American goods be sold only within America while the rest of the world trade amongst themselves. Every America company that has presence all over the world like apple, Microsoft, tesla, Facebook, Google, etc will need to limit their operations to the US alone. Foreign companies will need to leave the US (china alone has about 5000 businesses operating in the US). Let the US and it's currency be on their own while the rest of the world forge economic ties amongst themselves. At least, it will first weaken the US ability to impose economic sanctions on individuals and nations.

Lastly, you said your Google Ai source is more accurate. Okay. See this one from the same Google Ai source comparing wages between generations.

Stupid clown. Was Trump's tarrifs on China alone?. Has these other countries broken any trade agreement with the US that will make Trump impose tarrifs on them?

To help buttress your point, I'll add Singapore.
But truth been told, when I said, to stay ahead of the curve in a developing market. I meant a place like Africa and south america. Leave your knowledge based economy. If you want to be a superpower with influence, you need to offer this people goods and services.
Mostly, they need essential goods to survive before pandering up to what ever you want to tell them.
If you can't offer any of these, they will cozy up to whoever can offer these. That the first rule to surviving. Take Russia for example, despite them being a great military power. They don't wedge much influence around the world and the west always ridicule them. They only mostly offer weapons to countries in conflict

If I'm a consultant, and I'm asked to helped america solve it's current delulu, I'll still try to make sure manufacturing return to America and it's environ. For instance , if you lose the machinery and technical knowhow of certain process, it's harder to restart. In case of a war, you can't just open up your dock yard and start producing ships in 5 years time. Worst case even when all the smelting companies have moved abroad. China just have to take Taiwan and all the america military will go moribund. See why Intel and the rest shouldn't be allowed to go down.
And america can't ask china to produce drones for us to strike you with it in a period of war.

America need to work with mexico. Us should firstly create a zero tariff system with mexico, before moving to Europe. start weigh great influence on mexico government, ensure that some of America productions goes to mexico.
For it's lower cost of production.
Try to ensure that no Chinese companies is opening shop in mexico and most of the parts for production aren't sourced from china.
Making mexico like a semi autonomous region of America

America can still hit china with a synchronized ball with america allies, leaving china to only source for customers from Africa and iran

Trump whining about Japanese cars selling in US market. I guess you don't have a car yet. When you want to buy a car, leave Japanese cars (like Toyota) and go buy American cars like Ford. Na body go tell you 😅😅

These things are driven by market demand. Japanese cars are good and strong and this makes Americans demand them alot. Let Trump cry from now till tomorrow, it will not stop Japanese cars from selling very well in the US. People will always go for quality. It's their money.

Since you are in Nigeria, when you want to buy your car, go for American ones. You go hail 😅😅😅

See the circled below, that's who is shown as your source, Politifact.
The Trump interview was in 1988. US just spent money and lives to chase Sadam out of Kuwait and Japan wouldn't let anyone sell any foreign goods to her citizens!
See this Jack Ma story below. That's how we roll in China!

Gosh! Uncle what will you do differently to effect an effective change. Uncle just went Yaba Yabba Yabba like a slowpoke. Right from the start you've failed the question, we still gave you a second and third chance to prove yourself, still you went berserk off the hinges into delusion, self importance and derisive exposure.

Please if someone else have a better points on what can be done differently and effectively, should please chime in. We are here to learn.

This staff meetings clown just don't get it

A fool asking a foolish question. Lol. I am not the president of the US. I just showed your hypocrisy to the world. Stop asking foolish questions and agree that Trump has messed up.

You claimed China refused to buy more products from the US after they promised to do so, that is why the US imposed tarrifs on China.

I now asked you, what did the EU, Canada, Mexico, UK, Japan, and the other countries did to deserve tarrifs. You went mute.

I also asked you why Trump disregarded the NAFTA with Caanda and Mexico to impose tarrifs on Mexico and Canada, you went mute.

Trump is making you guys look so stupid. Lol. He would have made your job easier if he had imposed tarrifs on only China. You can't defend his actions, you are now asking me a stupid question because I am the president of the US. Lol.

China doesn't have any agreement to buy more goods from the US. You don't coerce countries to buy more good from you. Ode.

The countries he has trade agreement with, he has gone against the trade agreement.

Let these 2 points sink into your empty skull.

There is an ongoing issue at hand. He left it to be asking me what I will do differently. Ode 🤣 🤣

At this point, you are running around like an headless chicken. Lol.

1. For Japan, I showed you with evidence that Americans sell their goods to Japan. You are a liar just like Trump. I showed you evidence of US companies that operate in Japan. Trump whining that US roads are filled with japanese cars. But he doesn't tell dimwits like you that Japan airspace is populated by Boeing planes that Japan buys from the US. He hides the facts from you that Japan's military is heavily reliant on American military weapons that they buy from the US, in billions of dollars, from F-35 to F-16 fighter jets, to missile defense systems etc. He also doesn't tell you clowns that major banks in Japan are US banks. That Google, Facebook, instagram, make billion of dollars from Japan. Can't you see that you are a pathetic liar? With all of these, you still believe Japan doesn't allow US sell their products in Japan. What a douchebag! I guess the study is right that you have to have a low IQ to believe and Trump.

2. How does the Jack Ma story help you? What's the relationship with this Jack MA story and the issue being discussed? All your lies have been countered with facts, now you are running around bringing unnecessary points. Go ask China or Jack Ma why he was arrested.

3. For Kuwait, so you believe it is only the US that drove Iraq out of Kuwait? Come, how old are you sef? Look at the coalition countries that drove Iraq from Kuwait. I guess Kuwait should pay each of these countries 25% from the sale of their oil.
Let Trump go and collect 25% from Kuwait na. Open mouth waaaaah!

Pathetic liar!

I think someone gave this fool a phone and internet. This fool couldn't address a thing of what I'm saying, yet thinks he's so brilliant.
If you have half a brain, you will noticed I never argued for or against tarrif. My take is what will a fool like you do differently if consulted on this issue. Yet a fool like kept littering this internet space with your buffoonery. Without making any point. Mumu

Mumu like should know that in a situation like this instead of criticism like an idiot that you are, you could offer solutions.
But idiot like you kept yapping about Trump right or wrong actions

Sir, you'd seem to be the one who doesn't know what he's talking about.
THE INTERVIEW WAS 1988
Get that into your skull sir.
Sadam was always saying Kuwait was southern Iraq; but for US he'd have simply annexed it.
As for Japan, if you went there you couldn't sell anything that was also manufactured in Japan no matter how well-made and how cheap. That's just how they were. Their citizens just didn't buy foreign goods. But they'll go to other countries like US and beat locally-made goods.
Jack Ma story illustrates how their govt operates - if you buy US-made because it's better you'd suddenly come up missing!grin

If you have any more dumb questions don't hesitate to ask sir.

That is why you are a certified dimwit. 😅😅. Stop asking foolish questions. Asking what I will do different doesn't arise in this matter.

If you are not for or against Trump's tarrrifs, then get the Bleep out of this thread. We are all analyzing how Trump's tarrifs is either good or bad. You came here with a stupid question.

I have repeatedly showed you evidence that Trump's tarrifs is wrong. Yet, you believe you can ask me a useless question. Asking me what I would have done differently as if I have the opportunity to really do anything different.

Dunce!
