maklelemakukula:from macro economics point of view, naija appetite for foreign goods is overwhelming really. The impact on exchange rate and all, I forsee more monetary and fiscal policies to curb this. |

Dansahuni: Lol. We've been in this space for so long we know offers like this is never altruistic. If you are farming for referral etc be open about it. People who are s always say "if you buy from my link I'd get so so percentage at no cost to you." A Nigeria will often mask this and make it appear as if they are Father Christmas out to help you get rich. So, what's IN IT FOR YOU? 4 Likes |

I got an email that from AliExpress that I can now pay in Naira. Has the restriction been lifted?
|
Olamak1(m): 10:29pm On Apr 06 |
Eidris01: Restriction still applies! Only OPay and one other bank are the ones working. But be ready to pay higher exchange (black market) rates. 1 Like |

codemaster2much: Most of the things we need in Nigeria, especially if you are into DIY, are not made in Nigeria. I hardly buy what I can get in Nigeria outside Nigeria. Most times you have no choice but to buy it outside. Also the blame on exchange rate got nothing to do with individual buyers. The buck stops at the table of the leaders who refused to create economic policies that makes it easy for the country to earn FX. Nigeria makes it almost virtually impossible to export anything out of here. You gotta pay through your nose to ship anything out of here. 3 Likes |

Pls do I need to be worried about this? Since 24th of last month there has been no update/movement.

Joered63: 3:45pm On Apr 07 |
Nadingo:this is exactly the same issue I'm facing. Since 24th of march no update, and AliExpress is showing that estimated delivery is 11th of April |

Nadingo:Kai, I don't think I'll order anything from AliExpress for the foreseeable future. I've already received 3 different orders from Temu while waiting for this item from AliExpress. I would have gotten it from Temu but they didn't have it |
Nadingo: 5:23pm On Apr 07 |
Joered63:I think it has to do with the courier company. Cos the product I ordered same day on same AliExpress that was shipped via speedaf has been delivered over 2wks ago |

Olamak1: Do you by any chance know the name of the other bank? Secondly, if one open an Opay , do one need to go for their atm card (if they have) before it can be used on Aliexpress, i no too trust all these fintechs, they can just fold up anytime, anyday Klasha comes to mind! Just wish more local banks will start offering straight payment via naira cards, yes i know charges will be high but then it definitely won't be far off from fintechs |
okikigsm: 8:41pm On Apr 07 |
Joered63: That's what make Ae still special to me.varieties yapa, diff prices anyhow left to how good u are on shopping skill sha. |

icon91: I think someone said the other day that Providus bank naira debit card works as well. Besides, OPay 'virtual naira card' should be enough. That's what I use on Google playstore. You can apply for it on their app. 1 Like |
Nadingo: 9:24am On Apr 08 |
icon91:You don't need any card for Opay payment be it virtual or physical. They'll just route you to your Opay during check out and once you authorize the the deduction would be made 4 Likes |
