No one is denying that principle. It's a very fair principle which ensures that political parties are not bogged down by procedural irregularities in the process of choosing the officials
But in a case where there is conflict between two opposing camps in a party as to which official is the valid one, I don't think that principle should still hold except you don't want political parties to have head

According to which law please? What gives the governor and senate caucus the power to convene a NEC meeting as against the last duly elected NCW chairman and Secretary whose tenure expired before an election could be conducted?

Abure's tenure ended in June 2004.
He decided on his own to organize a National Convention without NEC and one of the cardinal pillars - NLC

INEC wrote him that they wouldn't respect him as Chair and refused to honiur his National Convention, they only did after the Appeal Court Judgement.
Again, like I have said many times, it's not written in gold that the National Chairman must call for NEC. No Chairman wants NEC because he can be removed.

So Tinubu is no longer using Lamdi Apapa to fight Peter Obi and Abure but he he is now using Abure to fight Peter Obi. At this rate you mumudents will soon say Tinubu is using Peter Obi to fight Peter Obi when go no go again
