No disrespect to my brothers from the southwest, to me, Amala and ewedu remind the most overrated food. I see absolutely nothing spectacular about the food.

Whilst my fellow students hype about it, I later discovered that they liked it because of its filling tendencies.

Highly proteinous but I don't like it too.

Rice,garri,fufu, noodles etc largely those foods high in carbohydrates.Eating them in high quantities only helps to spike ones glucose level

You ate Okpa in Niger State and you thought you ate Okpa? I have ate Okpa in Niger State and it's not the same as the one I ate at Ninth Mile, Enugu State.

I you in this train of thought. I was scarred by the colour of Amala as a kid and ran from it like it's some plague. I still wonder less what people see on Amala and gbegiri. The gbegiri soup even looks like Se sacrifice to some lowbudget gods. Funnily, the way Ibadan people take this Amala as demigod is mortifying.

The most popular food in Nigeria today is Amala.
So many people who are not from the South West have adopted this menu.

That's why you are bitter because no food from your tribe is being consumed by outsiders

I bought the worst honey from Mbolo in 2018 with all the hypes on the eastern foods

I prefer eating from South South instead of easterners in this very present economy
