In law, ission of evidence or otherwise can make you lose a case. This is why EFCC no de win all cases and in the abroad, the police take time to build evidence that cannot be thrown away by the defense counsel. I can't recall the exact details but I think in one of these election cases, a party submitted video evidence which the court did not it. The law is an ass, this is why people go to law school. So yes, even when it is black and white, not all recording can be used.
