So, i had plans of moving to europe some years ago
Hungary to be precise

My earnings as at that time was about 15,000 naira monthly

It was about 80 USD as at then

Had many struggles, first one was getting good at what I know, SEO,
Second one was been able to sell at the
international market as I know very much that the
local market wasn't for many online things
Took me about 3 years to earn the first USD
I never made a dime on Upwork or any Freelancer platform as I couldn't get jobs easily from there

I brought this stories here to encourage and straighten up the path of those moving to Europe
And also make those here understand that you
need more than naira to live as a humans in Nigeria

Back to the story

I realized I needed about 4k euro monthly to leave a modest life in Hungary with a family of 3 as at then,

I now realise you even need more than that,as I don't factor in insurance and several other bills

My pursuit was to get to 4k euro from Nigeria before moving to Hungary, it was doable with process, but very challenging in all

At the end...the naira crashed
10 pieces of pepper is around 1k in my locality

And I checked again how we are spending

The truth is , Nigerians spends in foreign currency

We don't spend in naira

To get real value from a product or service in Nigeria
You will spend more than those in Europe
Except for housing

The used cars been sold for 5k USD in USA will cost about 8k here
If you are in the main part of the city, food will usually be expensive
Energy is still cheaper but if you need 24 hours light

You will need a solar setup currently at 3 million naira for a family of 3-4

You will need backup your solar with an original generator.. tokumbo which will cost about 3-500k
That generator will also need a bigger generator that will back it up plus water pumping

Your kid schools per term will be from 75-300k

And if you actually eat good food or anything close to a really good meal,

You will need atleast 600k monthly

I talking having a sub balance diet ,not just rice and beans and yam

Your car suspension systems will call for care almost every month because of bad roads

German vehicles can handle port holes very well but you don't get to see their kasim everywhere

Depending on the type of car
you will need 200k upwards to cover the cost

There are other cost not listed here

Basically, you will spend about 2-3 million monthly to leave a life you can say is not bad

There is actually no difference in cost between a life a Europe and the one here when you add all up

The only downside difference I see is the cost of housing, but you can up the cost of housing in Nigeria too depending on the location

No true because people make N100K ($65) a month in Nigeria and they survive without any govt assistance

You don't know the difference between leave and live? Nawaoo
At first, I thought you were talking about leaving Nigeria

Nice post but try to change the subject of your post to "Live" not "Leave" for easy understanding.

It's really serious how the cost of living have become so high. Sometimes I always wonder how families with up to 4 children survive in present day Nigeria

Listen to yourself. That type of survival equals to poverty. A poor man has no choice but to survive on whatever he's given, enough or not.

$65 is a far cry from $2,000, which is what you said is what one NEEDS to live Nigeria

Go and steal na. Make una see question

The main reason for the post was for people to look into their earnings

See possible ways to start earning more
Even from Nigeria aside travelling out

The other side is for people to know that they can actually earn what they are exporting their entire lifetime for right from Nigeria
It's not easy

But I think if we have more people doing such

Many people will actually be employed in the society
