I never really expected it to be this good, maybe na every two weeks I go am, so I have two episodes to watch back to back.

E be like say I go you with this two episode watch style.

I watched the first trailer I was a bit sceptical but willing....as I see the 2nd trailer, Omo, I know say na MUST WATCH.

Also the glowing reviews few days to release cemented the decision.

we might disagree on choice of series but one thing we can't disagree on is that, this girl "starlight" was all of our television crush and sweetheart in 2019, 2020, 2021 until she made the mistake of her life and did whatever nonsense she did to her face.

She was the star 🌟 of the show and she could easily had gotten her own spinoff series, she could have made generational fame for herself like Scarlet Johansson of black widow or gal gaddot of wonder woman but the nonsense she did on her face ended her career.

I doubt she will ever get a big role again.

Sitcom Royalty!

My knack for holding on to the finales of sitcoms I love is no secret, I just can't bear to see them end. I held off on finishing The Office for as long as I could, but since last week marked 20 years since Season 1 aired, I knew it was finally time to let it go.

For years, people recommended it to me, but I overlooked it because I found the first season hard to get through. Then again, this is common with many sitcoms as they try to establish their footing. I'm glad I stuck with it. The Office isn't just a workplace comedy as the title suggests, it's a masterclass in character-driven storytelling, dry wit, and the absurdity of everyday life.

At its heart was Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, an inept and often unbearable boss whose performance was both cringeworthy and endearing at the same time.

Then there were Jim and Pam, with arguably the best "will-they-won't-they" in sitcom history. Their chemistry was so good, I found myself wondering how they ended up marrying different people in real life.

But The Office isn’t just about these three characters. The show had an incredible ing cast, each with their own quirks and charms, making you believe this dysfunctional yet lovable group existed beyond the screen.

The mockumentary format is what truly makes it work. The deadpan stares into the “camera” during awkward moments make you feel like you're right there in the office with them. And the beauty of the show lies in its ability to balance humor with heartfelt moments. It’s ridiculous, but also strangely relatable.

The show loses some steam in its later seasons, but even at its weakest, The Office remains a comfort watch, a show that perfectly captures the chaos, boredom, and occasional brilliance of everyday work life.

It's funny, heartwarming, frustrating (in a good way), and weirdly profound. Even though I just finished it last night, there's this strange emptiness....a void that makes me want to start it all over again from Season 1.

It has officially entered my list of top sitcoms, which currently goes, in descending order

Two and a Half Men (2001–2012)
The Office (US) (2005–2013)

Everybody Hates Chris (2005–2009)

Sitcoms like this are becoming a dying breed. Showrunners don’t seem to have time for these 21-minute, 22-episode gems anymore. Only Abbott Elementary is currently keeping this genre alive, and I really appreciate them for it.

Anyways… this is an easy recommend. ✌🏿

Oh, I was actually referring to the fact that male chanellers who were sworn to Rand al'thor(The dragon reborn) in the wheel of time books were called Ashaman....so Ashawoman felt like a weird reference to that.

...but now I can't unsee Ashawo-man

I didn't know Daredevil was still continuing, I felt season 1had ended with both Fisk and Daredevil seeing they can't kill their darker side.

This new book that Matt's girlfriend want to write will be very interesting to see who Matt sets her up to have an interview.

I thought I was the only one who used to see his monicker that way. Anytime I see his monicker by brain always translate it to Asha-woman. I always wondered what it meant.
Not until you asked about his name before my eyes rearranged it to Ashawo-man.

Agreed I lost interest by the third episode, though I finished the series for the sake of it. As you said I caught on what it was trying to do.

It could have been an episode of criminal minds for all it was worth.
