What exactly is the criteria for determining IQ level and do these criteria favour certain races than others? Among which stratum of society were the participants taken from each race? On the average it can not be validly and fairly said that Africans have lower IQ than others. No way! Each race has exceptionally intelligent people but on the average, Africans are really intelligent. Way of thinking can be influenced by religion, culture, superstition etc but this shouldn't affect the outcome of a fool proof IQ test.. what should be tested is intelligence simpliciter

emmanuelewumi:I've already spoken about the seed of tithe and the soil of the church. Not all churches are good soil where you should plant your offering and tithes. Regarding your disparaging of miracles (and by extension deliverance, healing etc), is it your argument that there are no malevolent spiritual forces, no witches, no spiritual attacks etc? Is it your position that these things don't exist and our forbears simply imagined them and they are products of their superstitious minds? Can you boldly tell me that there are no spiritual battles that people need to be delivered from? Are you also saying there's no such thing as divine healing? Do you argue that God no longer answers prayers for healing and deliverance? Speak up please 4 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: I agree with you. Your numbers are correct. My point is that you can't use past 5 yrs performance to forecast the next 3-5 years. You have to look at the 3 factors that fueled that type of growth in the past, and discount for it In your projection cause this may no longer be the case. In Being Paranoid, Management trying to diversify to other areas (hospitality, Logistics etc) will tell you they're looking for growth in other areas. There's limit to how far they could grow depending on price increases alone. And this worries me a bit. 4 Likes |

NettyNelly: There is a formula used that blends the various compounded annualized earning growth rate, which gives you an idea of the future compounded annualized earning growth rate for the next 3 to 5 years with 70% accuracy. N12 billion was used as capex in 2024 at about N6 per share, which I don't expect to happen again in 2025. The main advantage of the business is that they have a low capital intensity requirement in order to create wealth for shareholders 4 Likes 2 Shares |

SonofElElyonRet: On average Africans are really intelligent. ![]() ![]() That's the only line that spoilt your piece in my opinion What is NOT true is that Africans are genetically wired to be dumb, like racist yt supremacist like to believe With the right nutrition and exposure and intentionality, Average IQ levels of a society can be improved But like you have correctly captured The cultural inclinations of Africans is the primary factor WHY the society is dumb , or lemme say have a lot of dumb people making dumb comments and discussing Doesn't mean that this cannot be reversed Or that that is how Africans are genetically wired If they plot the IQ curve of every society and check the top decile, I'm very sure that the variance will be very minimal However check out the mean (50th percentile) and that's where Africans and South Asians (Indians et al) will score very low |

SonofElElyonRet: My brother, if you look at it critically and analytically, we need to tell ourselves the truth sonthat we can make the necessary changes. If majority of our people decide to cross a highway or expressway right under or within a 100 meters diameter of a pedestrian bridge and put themselves and drivers in harm's way, they can not be classified as people that have an average IQ. They definitely have an IQ level below the average and will always make silly decisions most of the time. Unfortunately even those with high IQs among the people will witness a decline in their quotient when they continue to interact with people that have IQs below the accepted average globally. Such interaction can either be physical or through electronical means. 7 Likes 1 Share |

ololufemi: I don't agree with you. There are behaviours and societal norms that have nothing to do with IQ. People behave the way they do because they lack basic education. If you observe orderliness in a society, it is a function of their indegeneous basic education system. I have seen in some countries where the focus of kindergarten education is for kids to learn about their immediate environment. They queue in an orderly fashion as they move about learning street etiquette, street lights, zebra crossing etc Here in Nigeria we see all sorts of curriculum. You will hear American, British curriculum. Soon we will hear Chinese curriculum Lol and the ministry of education permits all these. There is chaos in the educational system and the society at large. If I have been used to crossing the highway the Lagos way, why should I take extra efforts to look for a pedestrian bridge? It's not the IQ but rather the societal norm. 11 Likes |

@Agbalowomeri Societal norms and the IQ levels go hand in hand bicausal relationship style Training people to queue and behave like humans is an offshoot of a higher Societal IQ that recognises the importance of such things to a society It's the Level of thinking that influences the Societal norms in a country Trying to divorce the two is WHY we are in the mess we are in That's one Two, concerning your remark about British and American school/curriculum, it's the norm everywhere I had classmates from Egypt and China when I was in Uni, here in Britian, and they all (well most of them) went to the American school in shanghai or the British school in Cairo, as the case may be The key thing is.... As Nigerians Where be our own that is meant to run as a complement ? Gulf countries are littered with British and American schools Vietnam has French and American So I don't think that's the problem here 4 Likes |

zendi: My brother, it seems you are focusing on the past when lot of Nigerians still had an average IQ level. Example is how society was at that time with lower access to technology when compared with how bad it has become with more access to technology. Theose areas you quoted either fared better several decades ago or required major intervention from foreigners with a better average IQ level as the mean of their population to implement most of those achievements you quoted. When you even try to look at simple things that we should relate to normally, you will see the difference. A country where majority of the pool of drivers and transporters can not obey simple road signs like pedestrian crossings, walkways or even have respect for the pedestrians and traffic signals within the environment clearly shows that they do not have levels up to an average IQ level. A lot of the successes we celebrate from your quotes till today across all areas occurred when more people had an average IQ level or there was some form of intervention from those with an average IQ level. Be it in academia, sports, music, entertainment, finance, electoral systems, etc. The results are visible everywhere, and the quest for money by any means possible without considering ethics proper education and adapting to acceptable conventions in a sane society has made it worse and accelerates the decline. 2 Likes |

RodgersAkpafu: It is a crime to be normal in an abnormal society. A society where people believe in short cuts and unmerited favours over hardwork, productivity and value creation as solutions to their economic situations It is ridiculous to demand ability in a society where everyone believes cheating others and being financially reckless with the resources of of the association or group is the norm. And they will rather ask God to judge the leader of the association or group We will always get the type of leaders we deserve, since normal people are an endangered specie and are a minority in our society 15 Likes 3 Shares |

The facts is that upon what the merchants of prosperity have done in the past 40 years or thereabout, Nigeria and Nigerians are poorer compared to what we had in the 80s, our GDP per Capita is less than $1000, way less than what it was 40 years ago. WAEC and NECO attest to the decline in the intelligence and reasoning ability of the average Nigerian students and worker based on their performances in Senior School Certificate exams for students and aptitude tests for workers 4 Likes |

Agbalowomeri: Still has to do with our value system, culture and societal norms. The extreme poverty in the society is not helping matters, thereby making most of us gullible and affecting our thinking. That is why betting companies, charlatans, scammers, merchants of hope, breakthrough will continue to make Trillions of naira per annum from the impoverished and low IQ citizens who want a short cut to success 6 Likes 1 Share |
