Story not adding up, if had been an event promoter espacially promoting nigerian artistes , he must have been shuttling between SA and Nigeria , no way such can happen, happens mainly to people who cannot come because of lack of documents.

This case of insanity may be to some extent valid, a significant number of nigerians in Europe for example are clinically insane.

My humble opinion oo. That man doesn't sound fully ok to me. Unless the ordeal with the family has made him traumatized

Some of you know the kind of family you come from but the moment you move abroad, you'd send money home to build house. You'd send the money to the same family that hates you.

Wherever you are comfortable is where you call home. Build house where you are, infact, make a life where you are.

The small house my dad forced my late uncle to build in our village is there, lying fallow.

I have an acquaintance in SA who knows him personally and he attested to the fact that the man has been battling drug abuse issues.

That aside, the family has some explanations to do to clear the air on his accusations.

This guy looks like someone in his mid thirties

If this guy was actually in SA for 23 years then how old was he when he left Nigeria? undecided

Some aspects of this story do not add up

Man Returns to Nigeria After 23 Years, Family Declares Him Mad to Steal His Property

A South Africa-based Nigerian man returned to Nigeria after 23 years to claim the property he had been sending money for. However, his family took him to an Islamic cleric (Alfa), where he was held against his will and labeled a man.

The man, who introduced himself as Bayo Salami, explained that he is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and owns a business called Kuvuki Empire.

He is also a top show promoter in South Africa and has organized major events for popular Nigerian artists such as Davido, Wizkid, M.I, and Banky W. To his claims, he stated that people could find him on social media platforms like Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube under his company name.

Further explaining his ordeal, Bayo revealed that upon arriving in Nigeria, he asked his family about his properties. They claimed the properties were still under development, but he chose not to argue and simply requested to return to South Africa.

However, his family insisted on taking him to an Alfa for prayers, saying it would bring him God’s blessings. Trusting them, he agreed. But upon arriving, the cleric asked him to enter a room, supposedly for prayers. To his shock, the cleric suddenly pushed him inside and locked the door.
Inside, he found other individuals who had been held there for over a year in terrible living conditions. Bayo was kept there against his will for 17 days.

When asked how he survived, he explained that his family occasionally brought him food, sometimes twice a day.

As for why he was taken there, his family claimed it was because he smoked cigarettes. Expressing his disbelief, he said, “I have been to Dubai, where they don’t drink alcohol but smoke cigarettes. Nowhere in the Quran or Bible is smoking cigarettes forbidden. I am not a drunk.”

Watch the video to hear him recount his shocking experience at the hands of his own family in Nigeria.

Why is he sitting on the floor in this interview?

Is he still being held prisoner by his family?

Pure wickedness that's it. My advice is for the lady to return back to his base in SA. His family is not adding up at all.

It looks like they drugged him a little to make him sound crazy.

Because he is a little bit manic in speech.

Building structures from abroad? Hire a building engineer by yourself. Pay him for the materials and job through family. The two parties will checkmate themselves for you. Let some friends or even neighbors do occasional videos and send to you to compare with what engineer and family are sending to you. Thank me later

That Yoruba man you are looking at is actually mad as the family claim.

These are the drug dealers hiding under Igbo names to commit crime in South Africa.

Nkata ekpudele onye awọ

This is the 21st century ... why would you be exposing your 1800's tribal village mentality? ... why bring shame to yourself and tribe? You've got a whole lot of upgrading to do ... not too late to start now ... hopefully you catch up in this lifetime.

@ topic. Happens all over. And mainly these are the type of people that complain about family abroad be helping others but not them. These ones not only entitled ...but also covetous and malicious. I guess they believe he was not doing enough ... that he realized he was being played .. so when he returns he is likely to cut them off ...maybe sell off his properties ... stop ing them and start ing others. They cannot allow that ...so ... lock him away. Wicked people everywhere.

So Bayo people also migrate to SA?

While home based Bayos are taking their land grabbing activities to a new level.

The family should come up with their own side of the story I don't judge from one side alone.
Theirs are 2 sides to every story

Ironically, the south Africans we like to taunt as being xenophobic didn't harm him all those years, but the hypocritical Nigerians are the ones with evil intentions towards their own.

Most Nigerianns are terribly wicked and corrupt and we all magically expect a Saint to be elected among us to lead us..
