South Africa has a whopping +5 goal difference, and that's my real worry.

Their 13 points haul will be reduced to 10 points when FIFA deducts 3 points for their fielding of an ineligible player. (I'm confident this will happen).

Also, SA's goal difference will take a hit with 3 goals deduction and reduce to +2.

With 10 points, if SA wins three matches of their remaining four matches (I assume they'll lose against us), they'll be on 19 points.

If the Super Eagles win all their four remaining matches, which includes beating SA in their home, we'll be on 19 points too.

In my mind we can defeat Benin Republic at home. Lesotho away and Rwanda at home....,and it must be done handsomely..

Anyhow e wan be, we must pick 3 points against South Africa.

Ultimately, it'll boil down to goal difference so we must score goals.

Is this doable and possible, emphatically YES.

There's still that glimmer of hope so I ain't giving up yet.

Tedium lies the road to success and like 2baba go talk, if e easy na set up.

YES. This is the shortest route. Anything that involves or hoping on Play-offs we should forget about it. Navigating through play offs with serious teams like these is a suicide mission.

My guy hope always springs eternal.

Nigeria was far off the log to qualify for 2002, 2010 WC yet we inexplicably made it. Doesn't guarantee it will still be the case now but we can only hope (that word again grin)

I learned lessons from CIV in last year's AFCON out for the count in the group stages yet rode their luck to win the whole thing.

This one do go. Otilor far!!!!!!!
Highly unlikely we can even make it through d 2nd placed route.

To correct you bro….SA goals difference won’t be +2 ,it would be zero since d result against lesotho 🇱🇸 won’t stand…d score line after deducting the 3points and awarding three goals to Lesotho 🇱🇸 will be SA 0- 3 Lesotho 🇱🇸…so a 1-nil win against dem in South Africa will give us automatic upper hand ,with everything been equal

This guys just need to be serious and try to win d 4 games , we re good to go

Nwakali in 2025, are we moving forwards or backwards
apparently the logic that says tanimu should not be involved in super eagles conversation due to his team being in the third tier of English football does not apply to nwakali who also plays for a team in the same third tier of English football.

How did Tanimu's inclusion help the SE improve, Osimhen at his high level performance at both club and country is what rubbish players added to the side will be wasting his input because of sentimental callups.

You want Nwakali added to try his luck in 4 important games whereas he has only one assist all season for Barnsley while playing in a useless division 3. Why not call up Fred Onyedimma, Millenic Alli and other Nigerians in the same division 3.

He is yet to show it
But Ejuke has?

The roles that Ejuke play is not the crux.
The emphasis is on creativity from the middle, and then the cohesion and coordination that distributive play can bring.
Kelechi Nwakali reigns in that.

We don't switch plays quickly, because we lack the midfielders with Kelechi Nwakali's type of vision and technique of ing.
These kind of players can mean a lot to a team.

Good observation.
But we still need to outscore them going forward, if we keep winning with 1 or 2 goals and them with 3 goals, the 3 points deduction would be all for nothing.
The boys just need to put more effort .

Their preferences and style of football are seemingly disparate.
I will pick both, and vary my tactics accordingly

But Nwakali is more important to the Super Engles.

Let's wait and see him play more often in midfield to get a clearer perspective.
His ing and creativity doesn't agree to your notion of him as the missing link, as things stands

And the creative Nwakali has one goal and zero assist in 20 matches for Barnsley in the highly rated English League one

Forgive me, you are absolutely correct.

I was doing simple addition & subtraction hence my error.

Before their 2-0 victory over Lesotho, SA was on 10 points and +3 goals difference.

So if FIFA deducts 3 points and 3 goals from SA, they'll be on 0 goal difference.

If we win all our remaining matches which includes beating SA away, we'll qualify.

Why not use his stats at CD Chaves to judge him. In a club and league that is rated higher.
It is too early to judge him at Barnsley.
You don't even judge the effectiveness of the role that Nwakali currently plays at Barnsley by the number of assists.
It is like assessing Wilfred Ndidi's effectiveness by just the number of assists he makes.

Watch him live, see the cohesion and coordination he orchestrates through distributive play.
The coach at Barnsley applies Nwakali more in defense and ball possession retention than offense that it is one of the reasons why his key es are not as what it was when he plied CD Chaves.

We should not judge him with his stats at Barnsley but that of chaves
Just see talk
Even when he was at chaves his stats was not impressive
Uche is doing it in La Liga
But we should leave Uche and think about Nwakali a bench player in English League two
