Adam and Eve were perfect humans the idea of cleansing them can't work.
WHY?
Perfect humans don't need to be scolded for any wrongdoing because it won't change what they have decided to do in their hearts, it's imperfect humans who needed to be corrected as they have lots of reasons to err but as for the perfect ones they have chosen their path a million times they will continue to do whatever pleases them rather than take to correction.

The issue Satan raised needs to be settled first, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is not a literal but symbolic meaning right to set standards for right and wrong.
Adam and Eve wanted absolute freedom from God at the same time they wanted to become Gods over their children so that they will be the ones setting standards for anyone born on the planet. So God allowed the three rebels to continue living so they can see for themselves if it's possible for humans to rule humans successfully. Adam and Eve died due to excommunication from God {Matthew 4:4} but Satan who is a Spirit creature can't die unless God destroys him.
