Parents please train your children not to climb over people's fence. Never ever for fruit, ball or whatever, respect boundaries. Train your children properly ooo. People should also learn to control their anger. |

If true, the landlord should face the firing squad. An eye for an eye may not be a bad idea after all, you kill, you get killed and life goes on. |

dettolgel: Exactly. Back then, if my dad hears that I was around where that thing is committed, I'm already in trouble, not to talk of when I'm the real one that committed it. That his discipline always guides and guard my actions and inactions. Some will say that children are unpredictable. Their unpredictability depends on how firm the parents are. Children can go out to behave outside what the parents taught them. I tell you, if the parents are firm, the level of deviation will be manageable. 1 Like |

Psoul: You are absolutely right. I think parents that claim that children are unpredictable are the ones that do not want to take responsibility for not raising their kids properly. |

There was a case where a guy who happens to be the landlord of a house close to a new bride asked the lady out she refused him. One-day when she was ing his compound that people usually as a short cut he warned her never to his compound. Fast forward to months later when she was pregnant and was going for antenatal she ed the compound in a bid to get to the hospital quickly since there was no Keke around and her husband was away. The man saw her and beat her mercilessly she eventually lost the pregnancy, the man was arrested but was released the next day without the knowledge of the lady's husband who arrested him. He went home and started living his life. That was how that case died. Don't tres peoples property! Cases like this are forgotten after few months na who die or injure 9 loose. |

dettolgel: That is correct. Start early to be firm with them. I don't believe in "....leave, he's just a little child, when he grows up he will change". Na lie, that is lies of the devil. Correct them even at that point you thought they don't understand. They truly do. Even before they start speaking, they understand. Even a suckling baby sometimes will purposely bite the nipples of his mother and he will look into the eyes of his mother to see how she will react. If the mother frowns and warm him, he will stop. If she laughs over it, he will continue to do it. |

omoredia: Just look at what an adult is typing on a public forum. A child was killed over something as stupid and petty as retrieving a ball. And this is the only logical thing that your brain could conjure Anyways I blame the boy's father. If he had done what a man should do for his family, we would be counting scores now and not seeking justice in a law court. |
omoredia: 6:35am On Mar 28 |
Trojan8: Reason before you talk. There is insecurity in the land who cares if it was a ball he came to collect what if it was a kidnappers or fulani terrorists would u take the risk? |
Hamziyah(m): 8:33am On Mar 28 |
dettolgel:You're an adult and can differentiate between right and wrong, a 17-years old, in most cases, may not be able to think out of the box. All blames go to the landlord who chosed to carry gun instead of cane to flog the teenager. |
dettolgel: 8:53am On Mar 28 |
Hamziyah: I am not absolving the landlords on any grounds, no matter the provocation as long as his life was not in danger, he doesn't have the legal right to shoot anyone be it a child or an adult. Yes it is true that at age the brain hasn't been fully formed. You will also agree that kids with strong family value and respect for their parents and grown ups tend to be well behaved. They are also less likely to get involved in any activity that will protray them or their family in poor light? I was once that young and I had friends on both sides of the divide. I can tell you that their responses to issues were like day and night between these two groups - the kids with strong family values vs the one whose parents hardly have time to know what is going on in their lives Having said that, you know the story behind the popular saying amongst the military "obey before complaint"? The story behind it is "dead body no dey make case na who dey alive dey go court". Save yourself from those unhinged fellows that have no value for their own lives let alone yours. 1 Like |

Psoul: I am glad there are people on this platform that understands the concept that if you start early you can reason children into making better decisions no matter their age. Children are like clay you can easily mould them before they are fully formed. Once they are baked they can't change form. 1 Like |

omoredia: You are a clown. I just feel sad that I wasted my time replying you. Insecurity is the reason why a child is murdered in cold blood over something so mundane as a ball fell into your compound. Tempted to go the line of wishing such an unfortunate event on you but I will resist the temptation. We should be more human. Trying to justify and ''theoreticalize'' this evil is why Nigeria is where it is today. Call out evil first before anything else. |

Carazon:Those people are too full of themselves and brag a lot, and when you say things repeatedly, it becomes your action. Why should a child die like this? I go end that landlord too, ah swear. |
