Good day bosses and clients,

We've had clients asking about what brand of pop materials we use.
The truth is there are tons of POP materials brands these days. In time past, like say year 2000, there were few products which you can get anywhere in the country because they're the major ones and the popular ones such as Moulda 9, Abs, Green Bag Nejma, Portman, these are the best brands back then.

However, these days, brands of POP cements are like pure water, different ones everywhere. Although , these has it's advantages because there's reduction on price, after all unlike Nejma and co, many of these new products are not imported.

The problem is just that most of these new ones are likely to pose a lot of problems for contractors. There are plenty rebags. There are plenty substandard ones which lead to shortages and bad jobs because they either dry too fast, or take too long to dry. Occasionally, we may be lucky to come across an unfamiliar product that does the job just right.

I've had several experiences and the worst of them being an Abuja job i got from one of my bosses here. It was an unpalatable experience that could have destroyed my reputation, if not for their understanding.

I always try as much as possible to buy materials from direct importer, or from trusted sources because of the inferior materials out there. Some will give me of any of their distributors in other states.

So, while some of our clients wants the best job and means well to ask and want to know about the materials being used, please understand that there are hundreds of brands and there are also plenty of good/superior brands than the ones you're familiar with. That we don't go with the brand you're familiar with doesn't mean it's a bad product. Experience, they say, is the best teacher.

For my fellow POP installers and experienced bosses, what brand of POP cements does it for you?

Is it a seperate 3 semidetached blocks?
Is it 3 in one loft styled house?
Is it simply 2 storey 2 units duplex having 3 faces?

Please if any can explain...i could replicate it if it falls with an idea i have.

As someone who is new to the construction field due to several pressures from Landlord, I have considered starting something on my land even though I know it won't be easy but determine mind them say it's a good way to be optimistic.
I am reaching out for your guidance and assistance on how to start the process from the ground up as the Only thing I have done on the land is Survey. I understand that embarking on a construction project can be complex, and I would greatly appreciate any insights on key steps to take as a new building owner.

If there are any resources, such as a building checklist that itemizes what is expected from new building owners stages by stages, I would be grateful if you could share them. Having a clear outline of the process would make navigating these initial steps much easier.

Then Labca were paid 1.3m. Tried to beat it down but they didn't agree. Even after the 1.3m they gave conditions that we should finish the work quick before they move their oga. Else we'll have to pay another Money if we stop and restart some other time.

Nigeria was really a country.
