The I don't care attitude for me..
People don’t even realise South Africa have a good league
All that Eurocentric BS will be exposed when we play them
That’s how someone said Okoye is better than Nwabali, because he plays for Udinese
Lol
That’s not even a tier 1 or 2 European team

Home based that cannot even make it out of group stage at CAF champions league and CAF confederations cup. Even With their good league, Argentina and Brazil hardly use home based players for international football.
Oya tell me Zimbabwe club side that's making waves in CAF champions league and confederation cup....

Climate conditions also affect athletes
Most of them are based in Europe and it takes a while for the body to fully acclimatize compared to an African home based athlete
Maybe our turf isn’t helping them either
Coach didn’t start his best 11
He didn’t even bring on the right subs, especially wing backs that run a lot
Game we should have locked up after scoring,we were under pressure
I won’t start Chukwueze or Osayi tbh
Fatigue led to lack of concentration

The current generation of eagles are too over pampered, always on their phones, some are even content creators all manner of shenanigans and what do we get? Ikpeba some few weeks back threw a jab on these players even yabbed them they can’t play before Lagos fans, I was one of those who thought he was too extreme but after watching the crap played yesterday I think ikpeba is right. We shouldn’t be blaming the 94 set for being too proud and despising the generation after them.

there was no smartphone and Internet in 1994..those set are also full of ego..Mafias..

Hmm,if we removed Iwobi who should we put?this is the reason why eagles will continue to fail.....Kai Iwobi I watched against Zimbabwe, walahi I will replace him ASAP with even NPFL player

Elder, with all due respect visit an optician for new glasses.

Iwobi played well and delivered a masterclass of a performance yesterday. He did his job and that of Ndidi. He was always dropping deep to collect the ball from the defenders, a job which ordinarily Ndidi ought to have been doing.

Ndidi was the weak link in that midfield due to his poor positional awareness, lack of anticipation, poor ing, ball-carrying & advancing ability.

Removing Iwobi was a wrong call by the coach. Rather, Ndidi ought to have been removed for Alhassan Yusuf or Onyedika.

Pls dead this talk of home-based players. This foreign-based despite their disappointing results, I still believe are better than the home-based players.

No worry, CHAN no too far so we'll come back to ths issue of home-based players again.

The world isn’t producing prolific players like the 90s and 2000s anymore
Have you seen a Roberto Carlos with crazy free kicks in modern times
Although Isak gives a little Thierry Henry vibes
We don’t have Ronaldinho dribblers anymore
Lagos fans would’ve destroyed their bus by now lol
Some of our players are not mentally tough
I don’t see us beating South Africans
I feel for Osimhen & a few hardworkers in the team
Blame NFF
It’s a corrupt body. Everything from coach selection to players selection isn’t transparent
They’d probably cut the coach’s salary too for commissions
Crazy

when you say qualify, do you mean as group leaders or to the play off spot?
either as group leader or via playoff. We should not write the super eagles off just yet.

It about time Nwabali sat on the bench in order to come back to his senses.

Anyone blaming Chelle is unfair, and this is what we always do. Am one of those who never wanted Chelle but what happened yesterday has nothing to do with the coach. The players let us down like they did against Rwanda in the same Uyo, why is this difficult to understand?

It’s 100 percent on d players , Dey were literally ball watching and d major culprit was EKONG …he messed up BIG TIME

Osimhen will hustle for 75 minutes and still be faster and a more serious threat than Arokodare that was subbed in in the 75th minute.

Chelle has his faults for yesterday's results but the damage was done way before he came. Eric is a decent manager who I think will improve the team but he needs to remove players who can't deliver asap.

How can a group of supposed experienced players not have the sense and urgency to lock things down in the 89th minute!!? So all the Haram football they learned last year counts for nothing?

SMH again!

Thanks so much Chelle, but we won't tolerate playing our best RB on the left just to accommodate Osayi. If you must play a right footed player on the left, then hasten up and get Felix Agu, because that is his primary role and no one in the team will play that role better than him.

No disrespect to Ekong, but he is always a big suspect when we play 4 at the back, and from the first blast of the whistle I was expecting a costly error from him. Ekong does better when he has two CBs by his sides.

Tikitaka caused the mess and some great players of the past has said it. The over emphasis on teamwork which is not bad in itself over what individual brilliance can still bring to a team is responsible for the lack of enough prolific players these days as players have become more robotic in their play, there will always be debates but that’s the damn truth. For the first time I found the last euros so boring except for the heroics of yamal.

As for the mental toughness of our players that’s been an issue for some years now but can we blame them much? cos you can’t give what you don’t have, simple it’s time to call it what it is let them give way to others who can try just like they were given the opportunity too

With Arokodare already in the pitch, Victor Boniface had no business coming in to replace Osimhen. Chelle should have brought in a hunting dog in Alhassan to chase down every rabbit.

Iwobi Alex was terrible yesterday

Sir, till today, it beats me why uche and onyeka were left out

There's no justification at all.

I don't understand why certain elements are he'll bent on imposing their mediocre players on the National Team because of sentiments

Iwobi shouldn't be starting if we had a better option. I haven't seen the hype around that guy and I don't know what he actually contributes to that team. We keep on changing his position to accommodate Jo's strengths when the truth is that the guy is an average midfielder on his best days whose only concern is social media and Snapchat.

May it never be well with whoever gave Finidi George that coaching job at NFF.

We kept saying on this thread, that NFF should give Amunike the coaching job. There was no one else on their roster with his CV. He was the obviois choice for that job as soon as Peseiros left, but whag did those foolish pack of hyenas do instead?

If it is to organise estacode for foreign trips, they will be there front and centre, but they cannot even put the right things in place, to be able to earn those foreign trips

Who is even the current mugu heading that place? I lost interest after Pinnick left. This new guy is a monumental failure. Absolutely nothing is functioning under him; NPFL gone, Age grade gone, Senior team gone. Carcass of what used to be feared teams remain.

I am so pissed. This was avoidable, and those shortsighted fools still fumbled a simple group

Moses Simon failed woefully yesterday. Couldn't make any successful dribble to set up any reasonable chance even though we used his side to attack most of the time.

when last did you see a chukwueze hype on this thread? Perhaps you mean another player.

Loll bro, stop it man

Chuks is hyped for every little he makes

I was never a fan of that guy from the get go because a winger with no end product and who has refused to improve is not it at all. He must have a good agent because I don't know how good teams like AC Milan notice him

Moses Simon too.

See, what I'm saying is that these guys have no competition in the team and will keep on playing mediocre football no matter what because they know that they're borderline irreplaceable

it is the coach that is meant to create the formations and game plays that leads to the players scoring goals and how they defend and how they keep possession..

that's why in my paranoid mind I believe either Eguavoen ( the technical director ) or a group of people in the NFF are the ones forcing the coaches to use certain formations which end up giving the SE same bad results.

Please stop this, abeg don’t bring Eguavoen or nff into this, nobody can spin this. The players brought us to where we are today and if by the next game half of these players are still invited then we are not serious as a country. A game like this must have consequences and must begin from the players taking full responsibility. Our mediocre players cannot continue to hide under nff management and coaches to produce such crappy play. I will even have more respect for players who decline invites than to come and counting their legs for us.

Findi was npfl winner and assistant coach when he got the job while amunike was jobless then waiting for eagle job on a platter of Gold so I don’t really see anything wrong in why they gave finidi the job but he disappointed

if I write this same comment as yours they will call me a conspiracy theorist...

Eguavoen or a group of people in the NFF keep writing the same list of players without any young new additions to the list.

without Ndidi the SE made it to the Final of the AFCON.. so why is Ndidi still given a starting shirt just because he plays in the EPL..

its because of things like this I was not happy about Onyeka moving to because I know the NFF won't invite him anymore..

both Orban and Ejuke can play Chukwueze's wing and Chuks needs someone to bench him in that wing.

In the next international friendlies window, it is still the same list of players they will invite again
.

My brother...you sabi them

All this shout here and you'll still see Iheanacho and Papa daniel on the next list

Makes you aure that NFF is a very corrupt organization

Onyeka was pivotal to the success of that 3-4-3 at the AFCON, no caps.... I mean, Conte, who popularised that formation (I might be wrong, but he used it to devating effects at Inter and Chelsea) had energetic midfielders to keep the middle tight... Onyeka was that guy..

I'm sure if Ndidi was fit at the AFCON and Peseiro decides to use him as partner to Iwobi, he won't have gone far...
I respect Ndidi for what he has achieved career wise, but he is clearly past his best and he is definitely not the right choice in a 2 man midfield

This is a gem of a post

Ndidi last good game for Nigeria was the AFCON 2019 Q/Final against South Africa.
Since then, his performance in our jersey has declined.

His absence due to injury at the last AFCON was a blessing in disguise because Alhassan Yusuf and later Frank Onyeka interpreted the DM role better and made us realize that they're an upgrade on him.

Truly, if Ndidi had been at the last AFCON, and was the starting DM, we may not have gotten to the finals
