I have addo and sunfit battery both 220ah
Tho I just added the sunfit battery to the addo but I noticed the life span is not different from when I was using the single addo battery I’m now thinking is it the inverter cause the inverter is 900kva addo

But I didn't buy them shattered. I bought them brand new, and while transporting to far location on bad road with ups and down, 2 s shattered out of 10. I used the 8 clean one. The other 2 are still producing power. I don't want to waste them when I've extra inverter, extra controller I can throw the two shattered ones into to help me get the value of the money I spent on them. Can't throw 260k away like that. They can serve me for 5-8 yrs if I'm lucky.

The only thing we see here if fire fire fire; risk risk risk. But we all:

put our phones in our pocket with built in lithium ion that most run away from.

Sit on fuel tank in our cars

Plug in sockets with 220v even beside a new born baby.

See bike men sit close to their fuel tanks.

see ceiling fans running over our heads.


But when we see solar and lithium ( ion or phosphate) we start running here and there screaming risk and fire because of selected few that abused their system.

But since mine is 900kva with two batteries
I want to upgrade the inverter to 2.5kva before I start troubleshooting plus also the inverter charges the battery slowly

In my own opinion, I suggest we stick to what works for us as individual. We can never roll out the aspect of trust in business and other indices. Mr A might sell grade B cell at 50k while Mr B might cell the same quality of cell at 80k. Someone might prefer to still buy from Mr B at a higher price because of trust and customer services.

First off, what you have is 0.9kva or 900va inverter, not 900kva like you stated.

Secondly, if your inverter batteries are draining that fast already, getting an inverter as large as 2.5kva will make it worse as the inverter will consume significant energy to power itself - it could be as much as 40w

Finally, your batteries may not be bad per se. You may just have an under-charging problem. Inverters with charging function do not charge batteries optimally.

Most times, they undercharge your batteries. Your lead acid batteries should bulk charge to 14.4-14.6v (full charge), then float down to 13.6v if left idle. But most inverters will charge to 13.5v, then stop charging and indicate as battery full when the battery isnt. The result is this sharp drop in voltage you currently experience and you wont get good backup time from the batteries. And if this situation continues, the batteries will begin to experience sulphation on the plates, leading to more damage.

What you need is an external charge to continue charging the batteries after the inverter stops its own charging. Also use a multimeter to get the voltage readings of your batteries while at it.

Meanwhile, where is your location? How many batteries do you have? And in what way are they connected - 12v or 24v?
