The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated that it remains unperturbed by former Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s decision to leave the party.

El-Rufai, a founding member of the APC, announced on Monday that he is no longer d with the ruling party. He revealed that he has ed the Social Democratic Party, SDP, ahead of the 2027 general elections, citing internal crises within APC as his reason for leaving.

Reacting to the development, the Secretary of Kaduna APC, Yahaya Baba-Pate, affirmed that the party remains focused on its goals, particularly securing victory for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in 2027.

He said: “We are unperturbed by former Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s defection to another party. Our main focus in Kaduna is on how to deliver the state to both President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in 2027.

“The APC in Kaduna State is growing by the day, as evidenced by the calibre of politicians ing the party regularly.

“We are not disturbed and will not lose sleep over El-Rufai’s decision. The party in the state is expanding more than ever before.
