I quickly had a fact check from various sources, which included DW and the likes to confirm this narrative. However what I found is totally different from this misleading pieces.

Facts:
1. Alawites are religious sects that originated from the shites Muslims
2. They were in charge of Syria during Assad regime which is now overthrown
3. During the time they perpetuated lots and lots of atrocities against other sects, mostly the Sunnis and the likes
4. Even as we know that many of the Alawites were not in of the Assad brutal regime, majority of them were coerced to carry out atrocities against humanity.
5. The present Ahmed al-Sharaa led transition government had open their arms to welcome all ‘aggrieved’ groups to in his government to make Syria great again.
6. While extending an olive leaf to them all, many of militia groups ed as well with a different agenda set by the transition government, which is to close up old wounds!
7. The groups are now going for the heads of those that had wronged them which is the Alawites.
8. Unfortunately the transition government is not strong yet as they suffered lot of casualties in overthrowing the Assad led government which reduced their arsenals drastically.
9. As we speak,the current government is doing all possible to ensure protection of lives and properties of the Alawites, by appealing to the aggrieved militia to let the old wounds heal.
