Ramadan brings many questions about fasting, prayer, and daily practices. Here are some common FAQs with their answers: 1️⃣ Do I need to make an intention for fasting every night? Yes, for obligatory fasts, the intention should be made before Fajr. However, a general intention at the start of Ramadan is sufficient unless a fast is broken. 2️⃣ Can I taste food while fasting? Yes, but only if necessary, and it should be spit out without swallowing. 3️⃣ Does swallowing phlegm break the fast? No, unless it reaches the mouth and is swallowed intentionally. 4️⃣ Can I eat or drink while hearing the Fajr Adhan? Yes, if the food or drink is already in hand, as per the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ. 5️⃣ When should I break my fast? At sunset, not necessarily at the Adhan, as long as the sun has fully set. 6️⃣ What if water enters my throat unintentionally during rinsing? It does not break the fast, as it was not intentional. 7️⃣ Can I use toothpaste while fasting? Yes, but ensure nothing is swallowed. 8️⃣ Is fasting valid if I wake up in a state of major impurity? Yes, fasting remains valid. Ghusl should be done to pray Fajr. 9️⃣ Can women take pills to delay menstruation for fasting? Yes, if deemed safe by a medical professional. 🔟 Does silent Quran recitation (without moving the tongue) count? No, true recitation requires moving the tongue. 1️⃣1️⃣ How should supplication (Dua) be made? With humility, not excessive beautification of the voice. 1️⃣2️⃣ Can another congregation pray while Tarawih is ongoing? No, separate congregations during Tarawih should be avoided. 1️⃣3️⃣ What does “praying with the Imam until he finishes” mean? It means staying for the entire Tarawih and Witr, earning the reward of praying all night. 🤲 May Allah bless us in the remaining days of Ramadan and guide us to what pleases Him. Masha Allah. Thanks op. As for swallowing phlegm (no 3) majority of scholars agree that it does not spoil the fast. according to them, phlegm is neither food nor drink. It is produced by the body, does not nourish the body and does it harm the body. |

Bakrabas: Your fiance can not sleep over, wether it’s Ramadan or outside Ramadan. Avoid such situations at all cost. The prophet (Pbuh) said: No man is alone with a woman but the third of them is ash-shaitan. |

chillychill: You’d be shocked that some pple genuinely do not know. I’ve seen pple that come off or appear as learned Muslims, but when you strike a conversation you’d be shocked. I now noticed that there has been a continuous general decline in this our generation to seek Islamic knowledge. Especially as it relates to sending young ones to madarasa. We have them being mostly taught by yiktok mullahs 1 Like |
