The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders, COSEYL, has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to Fulani herdsmen residing in Enugu State to vacate the land.

The coalition, in a statement issued on Wednesday by its President-General, Goodluck Ibem, expressed concerns over alleged killings and rapes by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo LGA of the state.

Ibem described the activities of the alleged herdsmen as wicked, nefarious, and satanic, saying the coalition “condemns it in its entirety.”

According to him, the “so-called Fulani herdsmen are not herdsmen but terrorists who are on a land-grabbing mission,” stressing that there is no correlation between the rearing of cattle and “the killing of innocent human beings in their own town.”

“For these terrorists to be raping our women and inserting sticks into their private parts after raping them is the worst wickedness against humanity, and it must not go unpunished.

“The good people of Enugu have complained enough about these killings and rapes, and it is time for the governor, Chief Peter Mbah, who is the Chief Security Officer of the State, and the Chief of Defence Staff to arrest these perpetrators and prosecute them accordingly.

“We call on the youths of Eha-Amufu, Isi-Uzo LGA, and other communities in Enugu State and the South East states to wake up from their slumber and sack killer Fulani terrorists parading as herdsmen from their communities.

“Enough of this madness by these terrorists parading as herdsmen,” the statement added.

Then why are you going after truck drivers carrying food items from the North to the SE?. Why must they be the ones to suffer for this?.

Mrs Olakunrin died of gunshot wounds in July 2019 after her vehicle was attacked by armed men, suspected to be marauding Fulani bandits whose violent activities had reached a frightening level across the southwest states.


Those arrested suspects include Lawal Mazaje, 40, from Felele area of Kogi State; Adamu Adamu, 50, from Jada area of Adamawa State; Mohammed Usman, 26, from Illela area of Sokoto State and Auwal Abubakar, 25, from Shinkafi area of Zamfara State....

Nigeria is not fair to the Yoruba.

Ibos can tell Hausa/Fulani to leave their region and no backlash. But if Yoruba like lagospedia tell Ibo to leave Yorubaland, then you’ll start seeing backlash in the media.

Nigeria and injustice

When igbos go to the other two regions sw and core north, there is no red carpet welcome mat, there is no mass free land for igbos; The igbos work hard, even in the hostile environment that they create, igbos work hard and pay taxes, but when they come to the great region (so called SE and SS), they want all the entitlement.



With that said, I don't think the igbos need to do tribal cleansing in the great region. I think the great igbo tribe have to be pragmatic and apply deep wisdom. The igbos just need to give them their type of medicine, so as they ban churches, igbos should ban mosque, ban Ramadan, ban hisba, ban quran in public spaces, ban land grabbing, ban nuisance bush claiming.


It is all about the optics , while igbos keep building on the igbo nation foundation. The great igbo tribe need to further its plans to be on it's own. The igbo nation needs to strategically decouple from Nigeria like the sw is doing. The sw is decoupling, but building future infrastructure that will make the core north dependent on them.
