Princkez:Nice move! Many will remain misled by comparing EPS between 2023 FY and 2024 FY. 1. Operating income about doubled - organic growth 2. Cash and cash equivalents doubled - Asset growth, tool for expansion 3. Total expense halved, net operating income almost doubled - Increased efficiency 4. Actual profit for the year more than doubled - Income growth 5. Net cash from operating activities tripled - tool for expansion, evidence of real business growth. Cash flow is growing aggressively. 2023 gross earnings and EPS was boosted by artificial items or one time valuation gains such as forex (Notes 7 and 35.2). UCAP remains a money spinner for value investors. It will take more than unfavorable economic policies, aggressive targeted regulations, poor management and other unimaginable enemies of business/economy to destroy the future ahead of this company. Their raw material is cash, their product is cash, they do most of what banks do, but are not aggressively regulated like banks. The microfinance arm is a highway to grabbing every dime on the streets and local markets. I go hold this one tight, even if money to top up no dey. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

idealtailor:It depends on the type of investor you are or you chose to be. * If you plan to buy for long term, and possibly topping up when it dips then all are good aside SCOA and JULI which I don't have much insight into for now. If you look at picking one of them, then one of my Ogas here already told you which one to pick first...... DANGCEM My own other picks will be due to possibility of more rooms to grow and liquidity compared to those big Caps (maybe it's personal sha, I don't know): LIVESTOCK JAIZBANK FBNH PRESCO NEM ** Note: You can always pick these stocks during "downtime" when some of them will shed weight in of share price. Other Ogas here can also contribute so s/he can pick the best in order of Fundamentals. 3 Likes 1 Share |

crownprince2017: Are we looking at the same document? It’s really strange how far our minds can go in twisting evidence once we are invested in a stock. Even with the ₦208 billion unrealized FX loss—if we exclude that figure—DangSugar would still have recorded a significant loss. Finance costs ballooned from ₦29 billion to ₦53 billion, which is far above the gross profit of ₦31 billion. And this isn’t even considering operating profit, which is even lower at ₦12.7 billion. Did you notice that performance is worse than the previous year? Gross profit dropped from ₦86 billion to ₦31 billion, while operating profit fell from ₦72.7 billion to ₦12.7 billion. My friend, even at below ₦30 per share, this stock is very risky. They haven't found a solution to their problems yet. The only possible fix I see is raising product prices—but how will customers react to that? I don’t know. To newbies like me, please take the time to examine the financials. Don’t just accept what this guy, me, or anyone else here says as fact. Some people distort reality for personal interests. ![]() ![]() ![]() 10 Likes |

They used asset revaluation to mislead people—lol, very clever gimmicks. Any company on the NGX could add extra billions just by revaluing its assets, not just DangSugar. My plot of land, which was worth ₦2 million before Tinubu, is now valued at over ₦6 million. Does that mean I’m actually richer? ![]() 4 Likes 3 Shares |

If you're on the wrong train, get off at the next station - the longer you stay , the more expensive the return trip will be DS is in trouble and there is no end in sight, that is the truth and nothing but the truth. If you plan to stay because of the potential merger, it's best to align with Nascon for now, at least, you go dey use dividends hold body and if merger finally happens , you go still chop inside 9 Likes |

ositadima1:I beg to disagree with you.The revaluation was not based on assets. The valuation on biological assets take care on that. When I checked dangota sugar and IB results at the pick of these loses. This are two companies I am in big afolabi units. So I wanted to know the major cause of the loss.I saw the loss was on forex then. The difference was IB forex loss was already realised on large scale and nothing could change it.That of sugar was not yet realised on large scale. The revaluation is from the revaluation on that loss based on the strengthening of naira against dollars. That is why it was classified as income and taxed The company still has 200B plus unrealised loss which some could be written back in future if naira still strength further at payment time. Technically looking sugar made no loss as equally all those big losses you saw in the past wr just ed for but not yet realised. This means most of thr forex dealings are forward on dollars which could change in value at future payments date. That means sugar is not buying thr raw materials on cash and carry bases. The backward integration will only reduce forex exposure. The results of sugar for this year will definitely be much better because alhaji has added true cost to sugar now based on exchange rate. The only problem sugar has now is the cost of finance which should go down soon because rates will definitely drop as other government rates drop 2 Likes |

Streetinvestor2: Emotions are clouding your judgment. Where was the revaluation taxed, if I may ask? Look carefully—it is below the profit for the year. That’s why the EPS is negative. If you add back the revaluation, the EPS will turn positive. They simply played on your intelligence. Did you notice the interest expense? Isn’t it higher than the actual profit from operations? And did you read where I mentioned that even if you remove the ₦208 billion, the company would still be in losses? Can you provide your own summary of the financials—just the raw figures? I want to see your calculations. Like I said before, don’t let stubbornness and emotions cloud your judgment. In one of Trump's interviews, the interviewer asked him, "What if Russia breaks the proposed ceasefire?" Trump replied, "Too many what-ifs. What if a bomb falls on your head right now?" LOL. Are you really going to base your investment thesis on the Naira strengthening back to below ₦1,000? I thought you were a street guy—maybe I was wrong. ![]() ![]() ![]() One more thing—if the losses are unrealized, why did they include them there instead of below the profit for the year? Everything that contributes to the profit for the year has already been ed for. 6 Likes |
