Have you gotten your confirmation? I blocked €11,904 but the confirmation shows €11,204. Is this normal?

Hi everyone, Thank you all for your various contributions in this thread that has proved helpful for me.

Please I need anyone with adequate knowledge of the visa application process to help with my question. My husband has an it with a public university in to study for a Master's degree and should resume by April 7th, however, he's just about to start his visa application process.

My questions are:

1) will he need to submit an English proficiency test score alongside his documents even though this isn't a requirement by his school?

2) since the resumption is so close, is there any possibility for him to receive a visa appointment and response before the resumption date?

3) does he need to legalize and authenticate his first degree documents? N.B: He applied to the school using uniassit and they already performed an evaluation of his first degree documents.

I await your response. Thanks in advance 🙏

There are no special appointment requests. Even for Category A, which recieve appointments quicker, the waiting time can still be up to 4 weeks or more. So of he is just starting the process, chances are he cannot meet that date.

Please, is it possible to get ission when applying through uni assist and directly to the school even when my certificate is not ready?
profsomebody(m): 10:02pm On Mar 03
Hannania:
No it won't. its a matter of weeks. You basically work in to submit your application for visa change of status if you have everything ready. This is depending on your city though
Thank you

use another email to book for the the opportunity card
Hmmmm! Is this advisable since it's still the same port? Anybody done this before?

Pls which application form do we need to submit signed for the interview
Joanlaura: 8:45am On Mar 04
Does it matter if my original document like letter of ission is black and white and not colored for the interview

It is the declaration form. If you used VIDEX to generate it, It will come with it and you just sign it.

But if you used the printed one you will need to print the declaration separately and sign.

To them your original documents are your certificates, one of a kind, not easily replaceable, those are what you will get back from them while things like ission letter you got from a portal are not originals, Blocking confirmation etc are other documents which are not returned back .

So don't worry it's fine to take black and white of the ission letter. You won't have any issues.

Typically yes you do for English taught courses but it depends on the school you apply to whether you need a language certificate as Proof of English proficiency.

Check with the school you are applying to what certificates they accept Either IELTS/TOEFL or Letter of English language proficiency from your university.

INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT.

I arrived at the embassy at 5:40am for my interview, even though my appointment was scheduled for 8:00am.

Upon entry, we were instructed to arrange our documents in a specific order (Please listen to this ATTENTIVELY because people were sent back to the start by Mr Paulinus alot of times as regards this).
After document arrangements, the popular Mr Paulinus stand was next; had a seamless interaction with him (seems he was in a very good mood🙂) and i was the 2nd person to be sent into the embassy.

At the VO’s Office(Inner Chambers)
Entered the inner chambers at about past 7am

Questions:
1. What did you apply for?
2. What program are you going for? She asked this question repeatedly
3. Why , why not the US?
4. Why do you want to study this course?
5. What’s your means of subsistence?
6. Do you know anyone is ?
7. Where do you work?

I was given 10 questions in total in Economics and Mathematics.

Economics Questions:
1. What is opportunity cost
2. Difference between demand and quantity demanded
3. State the factors of production
4. What is GDP and how is it measured
5. Explain market equilibrium

Mathematics Questions:
1. One apple costs $15, if I want to get 4 apples, how much will it cost ?
2. I have 50 oranges, if I take away 23, how many is left ?
3. If I drive for 60km in 1hour, how many km will I drive for in 2.5hours?

The visa application fee remains ₦118,500.

I completed the entire process at the embassy by 8:07am.

Everybody applies on the new portal. They determine the Category themselves based on the answers you give and your documents.
