They are not that expensive, DIY deriy packs are Grade A cells, if you go that route of waiting for the packs from China. And still sells at 2.2M range.

Installed a few and recently did capacity test, and will the results soon.

Not true. Plenty of manufacturers use Grade A cells. Pretty much any company offering a 10-year warranty on their battery is using Grade A cells.

Grade A cells aren't really expensive these days.

Just the way you have been proffering China sellers links. You can proffer local too if it's a find.

What is the point of a DIY forum where we promote egomaniacal resellers?
DIY should be about sharing, not hording procurement information and making a business off our backs. If your resale prices are not clearance, then keep it to your offline shop.
Unless the product you're coupling together is niche i.e. cannot be found anywhere else, the only thing you can arbitrarily charge for is your labour(expertise). I mean installers, and that is after we have volunteered enough information and the client is just not handsy.

Even if it manages to be a 60A breaker, it's oversized for you setup and should not be tripping.

Please do is a favour by attaching pictures of the items you have issues with.

Finally, grab yourself a 40A or 45A DC MCB to replace this your 60A MCB.

I already ordered for an MPPT cc as advised by the bosses. The aim now is to connect the s in series and use the charge controller so that I don't get that surge in charge current that I get with the parallel connection.

He can point out anything unusual from any brand whatsoever, and you can correct him constructively in a diplomatic way if you feel he is wrong. Don’t make it look as though it’s a personal thing.

I don’t know about Valto, but with the little I’ve seen here, a lot of people can vouch for his products; of which I love so much. I mean, obviously he is a good producer.

But do I learn a thing from Valto so far? Except for him proffering, advertising and prescribing his products here, there is nothing I’ve learnt from him (perhaps he used to, but since I ed this thread, NO).

And much like any company, anyone can be checked for. If a test is done on his product, are you not supposed to open-mindedly accept the critic’s observation instead of saying it’s a personal beef?

But I am just speaking my mind. I really love learning, and without people like him questioning certain observable norms, it’s becomes a thing of everyone accepting anything that comes by.

Yes, there is EVE and Hithium cells Versions, and you will specify when buying.


The EVE cells are Automotive Grade Cells with up to 1C charge and discharge, rated cycle at this rate is 8000 cycles.

Hithium is Home storage Grade with up to 0.5C charge and discharge, rated cycle at this rate is 10,000 cycles.

So, if you look at the number on the surface Hithium has more cycles but lower Output power.

But, lets take for example their 280AH cells rated for 0.5C that means, if you build 12.8V, 280AH, you can charge and discharge at 140A, which translates to 1792 watts of power continuously.
Not sure anyone will do that, cause it means you want to discharge the battery in just 2 hours.

An average will want to use it for like 10 hours, which translates to 0.1C discharge/charge rates, at this rate you are expecting even more cycle life from the battery, over 10,000 Cycles, theoretically.

EVE rated for 1C, and been used at 0.1C means even longer life span.

But wait, 10,000 cycle is a long time, Hithium cells is 20% cheaper than EVE.

For most applications, I would simply recommend Hithium cells.

Deriy is store on Alibaba and has been known for quality cells, used to be where we source cells from, and usually pricey.
