Scores Of engers Feared Dead As Fuel Tanker Explodes In Kwara

A fuel tanker explosion has reportedly claimed the lives of multiple engers in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The incident occurred on Friday morning.

SaharaReporters monitored a live video posted by a Facebook , Orioye Chanter Ijobaibile, showing the raging fire at Iyemanja community, along the expressway in Okolowo axis, Ilorin.

In the video, Orioye narrated the horrifying scene, saying, “People are inside the cars, and it is burning. What is even worrisome is that many other trucks that always carry fuel are ing near the fire. That is risky. They may also catch fire. We are just waiting for security operatives to show up so that they can stop them. People are getting burned inside the fire.”

As of the time of filing this report, emergency responders had yet to arrive at the scene, while the fire continued to spread, posing a threat to other vehicles and properties in the area.

May their soul rest in peace

Tragedy in Nigeria every day

I think the government really needs to come up with a policy that will have tankers and heavy trucks move products at night only. This will decongest the road and improve on safety

Same thing keeps happening again and again…

No root cause analysis, no controls put in place to address the threats..

No regard for safety procedures. Those trucks are carrying over the capability recommended by the Truck manufacturers too. Plus bad roads

Oh God Almighty!
Not again?
RIP to the deceased.
Fuel ⛽ tankers should be barred from plying the Nigerian roads & highways during the day!

Listen People...

Listen Carefully...

ALL TRUCKS carrying fuel must NOT be allowed to use the ROADS during the DAY time....

ALL TRUCKS and other categories of articulated vehicles should ONLY ply the ROADS at MIDNIGHT!MIDNIGHT!

MIDNIGHT!!!!

Federal and state laws must be promulgated and actively implemented to this effect!!

You too put mouth in the matter in your spheres of s over this issue!!

Ho estly most of our roads are death traps and unfit to travel at night. At least not that Ilorin Road. I travel through that route every month. Trust me that road is very very bad.

My prayers condolences to the family of the deceased.

Only if God can open our eyes to know the type of death that will kill us.

God please let me just sleep and die I don't want painful death.

R.I.P to those who lost their lives in the accident.
This is one too many explosion of fuel tankers in this country. Government agencies should do something about it.
Trailer and tanker drivers are always reckless while on the highway.
