@Enskynelson. I am done with my MSc, Information Technology programme. But due to set backs I suffered in the 1st semester of the programme. I had 3 carryovers. But, I was able to graduate within CGPA of 3.33 with the following Result Summary. 3A 7B 3C 3F My question now is: Can I be able to be itted to run for PhD programme without being subjected to do MPhil? Thank you for your ever . |
Enskynelson(m): 1:37pm On Feb 24 |
ThinkSmarter:It depends on the school you want to do the PhD. Some schools demand a CGPA of 4.0 while others accept 3.5 and so on. You have to check for the school you want to apply for the PhD and check their requirements. If it's PhD in NOUN, you I am not that CGPA is enough. Kindly [email protected] for specific requirements for your program. |

Enskynelson: What's the process of applying for a remark? and does it work? |
Tfinal: 8:14am On Feb 25 |
Anthonyo15:Project results too? |
Enskynelson(m): 9:06am On Feb 25 |
Dave0116:It requires formal application through your Study Centre (they will do everything possible to discourage you) but if you are sure of what you wrote, do ignore and go ahead with the application. Remarking fee for a script is about 25,000 (also another discouraging factor). But if you are sure of what you did, still ignore and go ahead with the application. At the Study Centre, they will give you all the details. I think the application is to be directed to the academic registry through your study centre director. NOTE: Applying for remark is not to discredit the school but it gives the school the confidence that all their quality control measures are in check. If for instance your grade after the remark comes out considerably different, the management will have to look into their processes and procedures that generated the results, fix the problem that led to the error and then put in place strigent measures for the repeat of such to be impossible. But when you go to your study Centre and say you want to apply for a remark, the kind of discouragement you will often meet shows some people really don't know that remarking a script also has a way of improving the overall process of the exams. 1 Like 1 Share |

Good evening, please I'm a postgraduate student I try to access the website for the first time but it's writing invalid credentials even after following the procedures for resetting the to default. Or postgraduate student doesn't have access to the website?
|
Enskynelson(m): 4:57am On Feb 28 |
Adeskillz:1. If you are a new student eg. This 2025/1 is your first semester, you may not have access there yet. 2. If you are not in 1 above, default is default. You don't have to reset it 3. If 1 and 2 doesn't work for you, send a ticket for a reset. If you cannot submit due to 'invalid' , it means you don't have yet on the portal. |
Anthonyo15(m): 5:33am On Feb 28 |
samneutron1: RECENT UPDATES Check the student portal for your results, it is now there. https://www.nouonline.nou.edu.ng/ |

Enskynelson(m): 6:01pm On Feb 28 |
Adeskillz:You don't have an there yet. If you have done registration previously, i.e. you ed and sat for exams before, try sending complaint to [email protected]. If you don't get favourable response, the ICT Staff in your study Centre and it will be fixed. |
