Nothing in life is cast in stone...

Age doesn't always capture the different stages in life. They are exceptional cases.

For instance I dating a girl of 19 at a time. I was either 21 or 22. She had a business and was comfortable then and was always talking and pressuring me about marriage... Marriage, I was just a guy in my "wild oating" stage thinking of having as much fun as possible with my life. And here was a younger woman already more mature in her thinking and expectations.

She would later go on to marry another guy about a year later at 21 when after I ran away from her pressure.

The point is finding someone at same stage doesn't necessarily have to do with age.

As for the other points you raise I find them neither here or there. I do not think they should have any serious bearing.

Why would I be under any form of social pressure if I am comfortable with the person I am steady with for instance? Why would strangers scrutinize my relationship?

As for experience you can't completely balance. Sometimes it's what even can be turned into an advantage to make the relationship more sustainable.

To me I feel age is really just a number!
