The D2 is a heavy duty
Anyone here who has it has got a gem on his / her hand
I decided to do something weird today because I had accidentally done it before and I was marveled!

My iron ( 2400 watts ) was left in power accidently when I switched to D2. Lo and behold e no shake one bit !

Today I used it to iron my clothes conveniently without any issues atall. My gen go beg me o because that's like the only thing that would have made me be ing the gen small small and now D2 don handle am wella !

Monitored it on the screen and I saw about 1800 watts recorded

Why not buy qasa iron 300w, it will be more efficient.

I hope the iron is very good , my clothes are usually heavily starched

How will it work? How will one hook it up to the Delta 2 to charge? And will it be more efficient than using the Delta 2 extra battery?
Also, hope it won’t be 100w max input to charge the delta 2 when you hook it up?
How will you recharge the powmr lithium battery?
Guys?? No one answered this

Yea, the D2 is a beast.
Similar thing happened to me, forgot that my 1.5 inverter ac was on when l changed from Nepa to D2
The sound of the fan made me realize that a heavy load was on, after spending 5 minutes

Best product that l have bought

Jinko 555w ? I’m getting really shitty input here because of the rain. No sun at all today

Yes. Jinko 555. Sure, the dark rain clouds will not let you get much input. Things will normalise soon,

Yes, it is something you can set up for yourself. That is why it is called 'plug and play'.

Anyway, getting a solar is essential, and if you have read through all the thread, you will notice that there is one solar that is of constant mention: Jinko Solar 555 watts. Also, note that the maximum input from solar that the D2 can receive is 500 watts.

You can also get it on Fouani...https://fouanistore.com/ng/en/product/jinko-555w-monofacial-solar- It is currently out of stock. You can go for other power ratings.

Please, read though the thread, you will get it...especially my posts about my setup. Thanks.
So is still advisable to get jinko 555W for D2?

If that is what you want, but you can go above that for the sake of less-efficient days. Just ensure that the is not above the recommended amps and voltage for the d2.

To think that I sold a D2 late last year only to buy D2 again same late last year is laughable.incurred about a 100k loss but we meuveeee.

I realized its not about buying a bigger power box but managing my energy consumption and applying wisdom.

My setup is taking shape.
D2 was picked up at Jumia pickup station in ABC Adeniyi Jones. ( D2 is now close to 2m on Jumia , this is due to demand I guess )

15m 10awg extension cable ordered and delivered by Jumia ( bought at 61k , it came with mc4 connectors already fixed in , it was a great bargain for me because I did an extensive market survey before buying) plus cable quality is topnotch.

545 watts original Eastman solar from device pro , they actually had jinko but I wanted Eastman for no specific reason though.

The only thing stopping me now is the mc4 to xt60 connector , it was ordered on Temu on the 29th of December. ( 12awg)

Will keep you guys posted.
I must appreciate @Twosquare for his updates which has gingered me to replicate.

Thanks to all other contributors as well.

Please what's the role of the mc4 to xt60 connector and how do you install it?

The mc4 to xt60 is the cable with which you charge your Ecoflow portable power station through DC (solar s), xt60 plugs into the back of your Ecoflow power station and the mc4 part connects to the solar (s).

There'll be many more days like this, when the rainy season really hits, there will be days or even a whole week when the sun can barely be felt on one's skin, then a day's sun will not fully charge the device.
You barely took advantage of the day's sunshine if you would have used the Delta 2 but didn't use because you wanted it fully charged and the sun wasn't really bright, you could have charged your delta 2 to maybe 45/50 percentage and then run your loads ( assuming load is somewhat close to the solar input you were getting, say 150/200), you could have had your refrigerator running, devices charged and fans working, you then shut the AC of the Delta 2 off by maybe 4pm or just before the sun goes down (you'll know when), so it charges faster until sunset and you have some battery juice for nighttime.
My point, leaving to charge fully until the power station is loaded isn't the best way to maximise the solar energy, you can use for more hours by charging halfway or close and then loading it up.

There was grid power all through this time of charging via rays so there was no need. I need longer backup during the night

That's what connects your power station to the solar for the purpose of charging. You can read up posts from this particular thread.

One thing I also noticed is that this morning, it picked watts (20) at 7:38 am, unlike before when it was like 8:05 before watts could . The rain really did wonders in the atmosphere.

I watched your video and tbh, the delta 2 extra battery although more expensive seems better. The lithium battery (e.g Powmr) will not get you up to 200w input charging and seems less convenient to use. Or am i missing something?

Just for clarity: Team DIY solar
The list for the setup from what I gathered from here includes
1. Delta 2 or higher grade
2. Jinko solar 555W or higher
3. Mc4 to xt60 connector (what thickness is recommended?)
4. Surge protector/ controller ( in case of lightening)
Are these all that is needed for the solar setup?
And how to mount the solar is my worry cos it's a rented apartment, I live upstairs, and also in the event of heavy wind hope it won't get blown off.

Please suggestions and corrections will be appreciated.

Others will respond to where I didn't give enough clarity.

3. 12 AWG below...If you can get 10 AWG, it is good enough. The thicker, the better.

As for mounting the solar, it must be bolted since you live upstairs. You have to get a professional installer. Height is not easy. Even me who did my own bungalow sef knows that height is not fun.

Imagine, you could have saved a lot of you had gone for a standard SOLAR INVERTER SYSTEM.
Thereby giving you the opportunity of an upgrade later on and also maintenance when needed, I bet you can't upgrade this system except you swap, and for maintenance you will need to carry the box to a designated centre.

Your breakdown could have been(for a 2KVA SOLAR SYSTEM);

2 unit of 220AH solar batteries. 400,000

An inverter (2KVA) 180,000

200 watts X4 (50,000 each), good amps for faster charging
200,000

PWM Controller 60A 60,000

Battery rack (stand). 15,000

Total for the materials alone 855,000

Amongst other things it can't go above 950,000

I'm into solar inverter installation, send a message if you're interested in getting one or 9.0.5 8.3.4 3.6 9.7.

Please, can I get a breakdown for a 1.5kva solar system? Thanks

Good one bro that you're making a move to be free from national grid wahala lol
You have a great list up there I must say , for the power station that you intend to get you must first try to ascertain your power needs. That will determine if you should go for D2 or higher one.

For the awg , you 10awg or 12awg. The lower the number of awg the better.

To install the solar , it's better you call on a technician to help you. That was what I did. They will help you better secure it up there and they also know better angles to put it. You can DIY if it's convenient.
