they should have done this ages ago, I have always maintained that Zack should have been somewhat part of the new DCU team, not necessary that he gets to tell his own stories, but mainly for optics... Because like it or not, Snyder fans are a quite Vocal part of the DC fandom (I blame WB execs for this) and having them consistently shit on everything Gunn does is not good for a brand that's just Starting out... Making the DC fandom somewhat united is the best way to go

WB should be the go-to but knowing Marty he'd easily go the streaming route after releasing his last two films on Netflix and Apple TV.

✓Netflix won't give it a theatrical release. Only Greta Gerwig has successfully twisted their hands to the negotiation table mainly because of her financial muscle and the commerciality of the IP itself. Scorcese don't have that pull no more. Also, It's bad business to shell that much money only for it to end up in theatres first and not on its platform.

✓Only AmazonMGM and WB have the ability to.
Amazon is the only streamer committed to the theatrical experience through MGM.

✓Apple TV+ has thrown in the towel for theatrical release after a string of outright flops. Their last cinema release should be F1 distributed by WB.

✓WB recently beat out Netflix in a tough bidding war for Margot Robbie's Wuthering Heights. So there's still some hope. Also WB is in an era of pushing for auteur director led films alongside studio IPs. But they won't shell that much money unlike the streamers.
