Goodday all,

If a port renewal application is made, does a person still required to go for a biometric capture and if so, will signature be captured?. Iam asking because i want to change the signature on my old expired port.

Yes, you will go for Biometric capture. Since is signature,I don't think it will affect you, since you will sign during capturing.

Hello please can you help to know a few things, my port expiring in 5 months, I want to know 3 things, if I apply for port renewal myself on immigration website how long will it take unfailingly like how long if it is too slow to finish up,

and would I need to go physically to complete the application, does it take multiple days to be physically present

Lastly, I noticed when I visited the website there's a option of fast track but it's not working. What is it for
Mystery007(m): 4:09am On Feb 23
The current price for a 64 pages 10 years validity port is 100k.
it takes approximately 4-6 weeks for it to be ready, 2 months max.

Not true. That's official price, they have their own cut after the main price. Urgent 5years is 125k alone, not to talk about 10 years.

Sometimes the tracker is not always updated. I always suggest you check back after six weeks by going to their office with your collection slip.

Not exactly, he can do migration to a longer validity even if he has 1 year validity left.

Without a valid reason like new visa application,is kind of difficult, and it cost more.

In the long run it is cheaper to migrate in Nigeria than wait to renew abroad,

the country I'm applying to requires that my port be valid for at least six months beyond the end of my visa. My port is set to expire in March 2026, and my study program will run from July 2025 to July 2026. This means that my port will not meet said validity requirements for visa issuance.

What can i do help!
NL1960: 12:06pm On Feb 27
Goodday all. Please after biometric capture, how long will it take for the port to be ready?. Moreover, will the person be notified or will it be updated on the port application tracker?.

This is more than enough to do migration. So I suggest you apply for migration,if you are in Nigeria ask about that in any NIS Office near you,and follow the steps the outline to do that. This time around,if you can apply for the ten years port.
