You could have given your opinion without sounding foolish. Even if everyone cannot be an enterprenuer, atleast one should be able to invest his or her hard earned salary or have a retirement plan. As one is getting aged, he or she would not have the strength to keep working to earn money. Ok what happens if you get fired or layed off from work? What will you fall back on? If you want to get rich from the salary you earn, you will keep on being used or probably get dumped or even keep working till you die. It hurts but that's the truth. However, i didn't say one should get rich quickly as you have insinuated. The road to the top is from the ground. One must begin from somewhere but that doesn't mean you should end there.

I think they fall into the catergories of enterprenuers and investors. Politicians invest their money or their loots otherwise they would go broke. They know that they won't remain in power forever, so, they take advantage of every opportunity they have to maintain their wealth.

Those guys you mentioned are investors and business owners or you are taking them as your regular 8 to 5 salary earner.There is an adage in Yoruba "you WORK to feeds and you do BUSINESS to prosper

What you fail to understand is that, owning houses is an investment. Owning houses it's not just an investment, it's a life time investment. You can decide to give out some of your houses for rent. So, they aren't poor, they are rich except they fail to utilize what they have.

For you to start up standard business, the capital have to be there.

Employee depends on the sector they're employed. Politicians are still salary earners

People working in Shell, NNPC, TCN e.t.c are doing well. These companies will help you to raise the capital and start personal standard business

Don't allow anyone deceive you. Here is not developed nation. The only business that can boost your income if you're not politician are illegal/scam business.

Yes, the stats are correct, but self-employment is the most difficult stuff to do, especially in Nigeria. The truth is that everyone cannot be rich; just be contented.

Almost if not all entrepreneurs, investors etc on your list has once worked for someone...
Your can manage or grow an empire if you have never contributed to the successful growth of one.

The aim in life is not to stay employees but to move ahead and become entrepreneurs.

If you check the entrepreneurs that do well are the ones that has worked for someone in same line of business or similar...they have picked up all the tricks to grow.
