I agree with you a 100%...
The schools here are a lot more relaxed and do not inculcate the hardword that the reality of life requires to excel as a Nigerian.
Here, children don't have any homework until senior secondary school so kids go just dey play and chill.
My kids found every work super easy when we moved abroad and were literarily complaining that they are taught waht they already know.

But because they use age range to determine classes, the kids have to be in the class of their age bracket.

Those saying because it's cheaper don't realise that the driver for doing this is the high quality of education in Nigeria. I understand you might not have lived outside Nigeria, so I have no problem with your views.

Most schools abroad encourage mediocrity and non ambitious learning. Many Nigerians see this gap and decide that their own child will not the bandwagon of mediocrity and so get a teacher from Nigeria who will help push the child better with a Nigerian driven curriculum.

Why do you think Nigerians top classes in UK schools for example?

But it increases job opportunity and improves financial status of whoever wants to do the job.

Learn how to make ur mouth not only for negativity and character assassinations. Though, if you want to go far in life.

You guys would complain and wailing about Naija situation, the same people would quickly jump to conderm any act of improving the nation building. What else you want!

is it not indeed cheaper?

how does all you said negate the fact that it is cheaper and that might be a factor taken into consideration by the parents invloved?

You're the problem.. You don't think two truths can co-exist. Do you think any parent abroad will deliberately look for teachers in a faraway country if there are no incentives involved? Like you'll ignore physical classes for zoom lessons because na you love naija ?

Cheap labour for parents...and job opportunity for the teacher.

Nigeria's biggest problem is electricity, not data. Tizeti, Sabi Network, and many other unlimited fiber internet service providers in Nigeria cost less than 20k a month. If you make your money online, it's the least expense you'll need to worry about. The main issue is power/electricity.

They can't pay the ones there due to poverty so they prefer cheap labour from Nigeria

Many Nigerian students abroad send their assignments to Nigerians in Nigeria to do the assignments at a fee for them.

Lots of Nigerians are online assignment doers and they "earn" their living by advertising their "services" online for willing buyers. Many ladies studying abroad have guys back home that are doing assignments, term papers and projects. In abroad, assignments, seminars, term papers and projects constitutes up 70% of total assessment for some courses abroad

I did this while I was in Nigeria. I prepared a kid in year five for his Primary checkpoint English and his elder brother for his GCSE. And I often prepared others for IELTS. The pay was reasonable considering the exchange rate and it was even more affordable for the parents as they're not obligated to pay minimum wage. So it's a win win!
Please, do you have any material that could help me become a better English tutor handling IGCSE and IELTS?

At the bold, That's because the schools their children aren't the best in the UK. Garbage in, garbage out.

At your last statement, those Nigerians are a minute percentage of the entire school age group of Nigerians in the UK. Also, most attended predominantly black schools and the school famous for churning those results is an elite prep school in London.

And I hope such child is being imbibed the Nigerian culture while in the US ba. Cos learning from Nigerians can be hell to then based on their loose system there.
Anyways, all the best to the proponent of that idea.
For me o, I prefer my child goes to Korea for education

Well, that's fine.
Don't think because you're in uk/us/Canada/aus/nz and Co, you can't inculcate the Nigerian culture and discipline to your child. Not all you hear on SM is reality.

This was foreseen in 2017 when The Rhemabotics Virtual School ( RMA-LESSONS) was birthed. Trust me, in the coming years, virtual tutoring for children abroad will be the next big thing in Nigeria.

The Rhemabotics Virtual School is involved in the following;
1) Training of teachers to become virtual tutors
2) Recruitment of Virtual Tutors
3) Hiring of Virtual Tutors To Clients home and abroad
... Please send a WhatsApp DM if you are interested in any of these via Plus Two Three Four Eight Zero Six Three Six Five Seven Eight Nine Two

Yeah, it might be to bridge the gap but again we cannot rule out the fact that it's because it's cheap. A friend linked me to a Nigerian woman living in the US who wanted me to help maintain her site and she was offering $10.
I declined and later got to know that the person maintaining it for her was charging $100 per month hence the reason she was looking for a cheaper option in Nigeria.
It's exchange rate advantage, else they would've patronised UK based tutors. Other than those who teach ethnic languages, what prevents them from patronising those within?

I have been involved in one, and it was an exciting experience. Our Nigerian children here know how to cope with unfavourable situations. If you tell them the lesson is for 1 hour, they patiently wait until the 1 hour elapses, even though they are tired. Those children given birth abroad will tell you they are tired and anything afterwards is "Oyo". However, their parent will count it against you that you did not complete the 1-hour mark. Again, my challenge with them is that they feel they are doing you a favour because they believe there is no job in Nigeria, which is very bad.

They charge per hour over there in UK and it very expensive, hence the fall back to us back home.
