Hello my Chiefs,

I have Camry 08. My wahala now is that engine doesn’t start (just rolls but doesn’t kickstart) when engine is hot until I allow it to cool off a bit. When cold, it starts in one try.

I was waiting in traffic the other day when the car off, to start became wahala. Had to allow it to cool off small.

Pls make una help my life.

Another one is Car consume fuel when I drive with ac and can be sluggish picking up speed especially on starting speed.

Is the car not overheating?

Sounds like your Kickstarter is weak when temperature is high.. but work perfectly well when cold

I notice that car 2004 corolla normally makes a sound te te te te te like that when at operating temperature. Don't no if this is the sound your talking about though. But if it's a sound that you are sure was never there before, take it out for possible check up. Another thing is that the problems with that car are usually very obvious and disturbing. So if it seem like some calm and gentle effect you may worry less🤣.

I feel a temporary vibration (side to side) at about 30-40km/h and as the speed get higher the vibration disappears and movement is smooth again.

The vibration is mild or almost not felt in the morning when car is just starting to drive, but gets more obvious as all parts warmed up.

Diagnosing problems over times, I have (1) changed complete drive shaft (replaced with tokumbo of course) (2) changed gear oil (got original cvt oil for the job) (3) replaced engine seats.

I have done all these over 5yrs ago now since got the car, but the shaking problem never left at anytime, seeming like it was all waste of money.

Recently a mechanic talked about inner cup, and this isn't the first time inner cup has been mentioned to be the culprit. In fact, that was the reason why I changed the complete drive shaft then. However, the new mecho is trying to convince me that the tokumbo drive shaft replaced may also be having the inner cup problems. The guy seem to be making sense here, but I am skeptical and for now, decided I will be managing the car like that. Reason is because I am scared of the process of removing and replacing inner cup at that delicate gear slot. That used to cause gear oil leaks which is a big problem for sealed gears without oil guage.

So, please advice me chiefs. Do you really thing this issue is still inner cup?

Yes the inner cup can cause it very well sir.just buy brand new drive shaft and have rest of mind. Many of those toks are nigeria used repair

They don't sell inne cups alone new one it only in complete but i dont know if you want to place an order online o if you can get it

Please I use a Nissan Altima 2008 2.5s.

I recently just changed the car's engine cos the previous one got knocked. Since I changed th engine, I've not enjoyed the car at all. The first issue was the car not revving at all which was partially fixed by the mechanic by replacing the injector mouth( throttle body). After replacement, same issue occured until a rewire checked it out and the car started revving. Also to mention, the car on idle is high around 1300-1500 rpm. It also doesn't start once in the morning until after like 3 to 4 times.

Now the main issue I'm facing is this. Once I engage the gear, the car looses power and accelerates very sluggish and once I put the car back to Neutral or Park, it doesn't rev well and the raising is sluggish. But once I switch off the car and ON again, the car revs well, once i engage gear, it looses power again even when returned to neutral or Park. Please Help

Looking at things from a flip side. Was the right engine bought and fixed. Am sure that's where your car problem lies

All toks ball t are reworked.
The new are super fake and would detach from the ball within 2weeks.

Good evening...I have been on this for 3 weeks now initially when I drive my car in the morning it work perfectly but when it hot it find it difficult climbing hill nd changing gear....I went to service the gear but still same problem got another gear same issue but returned the gear and put back my own gear but now is not even shifting gear from first time. And sometimes remove itself from gear... Toyota Corolla 03.

When last did u inspect yur spark plugs,when u start the car,does the exhaust steam . When last did u service yoir injectors. Well first thing,go and buy thinner maybe like 50ml thinner or 100ml thinner,then buy 15 litres. Drive the car to express,when u get to express, fire the engine to at least 100kph. If u no see change,then the gear with engine don sapa. Lastly check your fuel pump,u see these 3 components fuel pump,spark plug,with injectors,na the heart of the car. Forget engine. If those 3 are not in place,walai,u go buy new engine,brain box gear,if god no like u,u fit buy body.symptoms go still manifest. If gear dey defective,u no go even fit comot house. The last wuack mechanic that mounted your gear console,interior console,did not align something properly,im sure some times if ubspeed and suddenly do hard brake,the gear would jump to neutral. But it work well when the car is cold only when is hot...and when is on express after it manage to shift the first gear it can work till lagos without issue.

Your Kickstarter is about to die

I am sorry, but this is not a fight. I have gotten your opinion, which I appreciate. But I don't think is bad seeking other people's opinion.

And if judging by iaai or copart,.... aunction...., more than 70% of tokunbo cars in Nigeria should not be on the road. I believe worst case than this could be fixed and one would buy it from Nigerian dealers without knowing. I know many of them.
I am not justifying accidented cars anyway and I am not putting away your advise.

Vehicle looses power while in motion.
Car has been scanned and it showed an error relating to the throttle pedal.
Throttle pedal was changed, yet issue persists.

Issue:
Vehicle looses power while in motion but engine is still running, just doesn't rev.
Sometimes when you want to overtake, pedal doesn't respond to acceleration.
While in motion, even when the gear is pushed to neutral, pressing the throttle, car doesn't rev then suddenly, it picks again

Things Done:
Fuel pump and filter checked and changed
Throttle pedal changed
Throttle body (Ejector mouth) changed
Plugs and nozzles checked, all fine.

What the possible cause of the issue?

If no wiring has been tamper with before the issue start.
Get a good technician to check all the fuses one after the other if nothing is wrong get another ecu and test.

If you want to buy one leg for 150k why not just buy brand new set for 250k make you rest. That,one leg might be tokunbo because you wont see one leg for new. Tokunbo now is not reliable at alllcis a no go area in lagos dont know about other state ohhh so just find money and buy new shaft abeg

You need to scan and post actual codes then a good technican fix this issue.
