Create a ticket on the AVITS platform and a confirmation page for your new DS160, they will take it up from there and update accordingly. One can no longer update on their own like on the previous website

You'd better don't try it with this AVITS portal, or else your application would be delayed for long period of time Amo12345: |

excel1960: If the issue is that you want to pay another visa fee but it’s not allowing you, what I’ve seen worked for duplicate applicant is to put both first name and middle name in the space for first name. Also ensure you delete the current appointment request you’re stuck on and start afresh before using that technique, so you’re not stuck after making payment. 1 Like |

Hello, I'm being invited by a friend who is a US Citizen in Maryland. What are the likely questions being asked on the interview? What's the chance of getting a Visa from Lagos Embassy?

joechima: Hahahahahahahahaha, this guy dey vex. So lets do a lil maths..lets assume 200k nigerians apply for US visa every yr, even if all are qualified..no way would they issue all applicants visa. Lets take it a step further, lets assume out of the 200k applicants, only 60% are qualified...20% know they are not qualified, but wanna try their luck, another 20% misled by agents/lied in their application...then another 20% were considered but were jittery during interview snd thus denied. This 60% represents 120k.... Data shows 150k and 30k b1b2 and f1 applications were received in 2023. And data shows 111k visas were also issued....so its not as bad as you guys make it seem 5 Likes 1 Share |

Guys please, when can one reapply after refusal?
|
RipVanWink: 9:59am On Feb 17 |
Imustreturn: DEPENDS on your risk appetite.... unless there is significant change in your circumstances...rushing to re-apply after a denial is usually a gamble..you are likely gifting your 185usd to the American govt. best to wait minimum 12 months. unless there is significant change in your circumstances 5 Likes |

Hi Everyone, I’m planning to visit Spain in July this year for 3 weeks to see some work colleagues and I also want to use that opportunity to apply for a USA visit visa for the world cup (Due to Naija long waiting time). I’ve checked online and seen some cities in Schengen Areas with short waiting period. Can I travel to this city for an interview? If yes, how will that work? |

NorthernshoreTS:Hello All, I trust we are all going great. So I wanted to give a final update on the bolded. My friend was just granted her F1 visa at the US embassy in Abuja this morning. Apparently, the reason for the earlier refusal when she applied via IW, was because she applied by proxy (meaning she was in the US when she sent her documents including her port for the IW). The embassy discovered this because of the absence of a return stamp into the country, on her port. The consular officer advised her to tell other international students who have plans of renewing their visas via IW, that it must be done in-country and not via proxy. Thanks to everyone for their valuable contributions during this period. Shalom 9 Likes |

Good day all. Please I am stuck at trying to book appointment date, each time I check I get a prompt of this error message that say “Currently there is no appointments available for the selected location” I need to know if I’m doing something wrong or its a normal occurrence as I can see some are seeing dates on their profile. I really appreciate a response please. Thank you in advance.
