66forlife:Before the month ends, could you try and sample the hustle on weekends alone (Saturday & Sunday)? Do it for the remainder of this month's weekends to get the grip of the hustle, then make your decision thereafter. I'm sure your salary isn't 'salarying' is the reason you're looking for a better alternative. And yeah, e-hailing is a good option, too. Elentra '14 can be used and fuel efficiency is same as corolla, so, it's a goal for you (hope you're the owner sha). Much respect, sir. 2 Likes |

Barbiturate:Baba, wetin guys go do? The country is messed up and expensive and guys need more streams of income, or any means to proliferate one's financial strength, as long as it is legal. You go wonder say even some Keke napep riders dey make more money than many salary earners? In this current Nigeria economy, we all know say some salary works must be dumped without thinking twice. As you said, may God help everybody oh. Much respect, boss. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Since I don dey follow ehailing matter whether off or online, the fucking drivers always say stuff like, there's no money in it again, the prices are low these days, we can't break even again, bleh, bleh, bleh. Yet dem no go leave the work go do better things. I was out of ehailing for several months, and with the doom and gloom being portrayed of the hustle by these drivers, omo, I lost hope. But thank God for Cheerfulgiver and Pearl1910, a few others here for their positive outlooks. Whenever I read Cheerfulgiver’s aggressive and disdainful comments to the naysayers I'd have tears streaming down my cheeks from laughter and be simultaneously spurred on to hit the road and make some money. Yes, I knew these guys were doing their things in the ehailing hub of the country but also believed Abuja couldn't have become so bad for ehailing within the same period, as the last time I was on the road before my long lay off I made almost 600k in just over 3 weeks. when I finally hit the road again last November, I made 350k plus in about 10 days. And I came to the conclusion then that most bolt drivers are full of shiit. So if you have a working car, oga, don't even seek advice from any stupid driver, just hit the road for a few weeks and see what you can achieve. Also, Bolt agents here should let their people know that reducing prices without informing the drivers is tantamount to criminality. I go still halla for them before I enter road again sha. 11 Likes |

WareLogMan:@bold - fatigue in summary. What if the nature of his 9-5 is strenuous already? He should just stick to weekend (sat - sun) alone. Abi what do you think? And I'm somehow sure say if that uncle has a taste of two weekends hustle with e-hailing, he go make decision ASAP. ![]() Much respect, baba. 2 Likes |

AutoTechDoyz: My take home from your post is that many drivers are stupid and full of shit. You are absolutely right. Some people are lazy and looking for excuses and reason to seat back and be receiving palliative and from relatives and friends. They know when they come and ask questions like that, they will get the answers they want to hear so they can reaffirm their mediocrity. 5 Likes |

Kaymaxi2222: HP is basically a loan. So why can someone start HP but not get a loan to buy car and start ehailing. It's not like u will drop ur house or land documents to get the loan. Worse case u sell the car and pay back if it doesn't work. That's a probability, a risk I am willing to take. It may go well or it may not go well. But one thing is sure, if one doesn't take the step, the outcome is guaranteed. 6 Likes |

Pearl1910: 10:36am On Feb 10 |
Kaymaxi2222: Quite frankly, the only requirement u need is ability to drive. Even if u haven't driven in Lagos before, u will be fine. U will learn. U will get used to all d shenanigans on Lagos road. Anybody can take HP deal. There is nothing special. Sometimes u drive rental car and for 6months d only thing u do on it is engine servicing. So forget the elevation of HP, It will only limit u and make u scared, there's nothing there. It all depends on u and how hungry u are for a change. The best time to start a business is off season period. Necessity is d mother of invention. U will think and device ways to survive, and when u do, u will be a boss when the boom comes. But when u start in d boom season and spend your largess without knowing there is a famine coming, u will most definitely go depressed when that time comes and u aren't seeing the money as easily like before. 13 Likes 1 Share |

https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/8339873/uber-driver-killed-body-dumped Guys, be alert out there. Don't carry multiple guys at midnight. This has been stressed more than often. Whether Eko hotel or Shrine, whether Lekki or Agege, dont carry more than 1 guy when u are driving at midnight. Don't be tempted by the fare or feel u have wasted fuel driving to d pickup. If u arrive and see they are more than 1. Be bold and tell them "sorry I can't carry more than 1 guy at this time because of my safety" Be alert, don't pick additional people on your way and even if it's one person, don't stop in a lonely place for him to pee or something . The evil ones will not see us. We will not be unfortunate. You will not be a victim. 18 Likes |

https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/8339873/uber-driver-killed-body-dumpedWhichever one of the apps he used last, the company should provide the details of the rider who perpetrated this evil act to the right security agency. They must have, and provide the rider's details. May his soul RIP. 🤦♂ 2 Likes |

66forlife: You'll shed hot tears, and the pilots here won’t be able to help you. If you live on the mainland and work on the island, I recommend using it for your morning and evening commute. Turn on your Bolt/Uber/ InDriver App. Pick two Sunday evenings each month and take advantage of surge pricing. With the right strategy, you can also secure inter-state gigs. Don't quit your job o! 7 Likes |

Any precedence to this? Perhaps, the companies are gonna start doing that this time around. Obviously, the companies aren't taking any steps to ensure the security of the drivers.... what's the 20/10% for! Sometimes ago, olosho was their target....now, it seems Uber drivers is the target. Inside Lagos, manpikin dey cat-drive because of traffic speed cam, dey fear lastma, police, vio and now riders don add the list...hmmn 1 Like |
