Hello guys, Please did anyone apply to James Madison University and University of South Florida? I don't know if issions decision has started, no response since last year.

because you can’t predict Wes accumulation, reasons the way they compute is different from ours.

I have done mine, and my cgp reduced alot after wes verified my transcript.

WES evaluates on a 4 point scale

I can’t say what i don’t know.
my only advice is you wait till you get your verified results from Wes.

In a lay reasoning,
imagine have 4.21/5
then they evaluate to 3.54.
which I understand their grade scale is 4.

imagine having 2.97/5
I doubt if it will raise to 3.0/4 you are expecting.

You should try using the WES free GPA calculator if you have an unofficial transcript, enter all your course credits and grades, it can give you a bit of an idea on what the GPA over 4 would be if you do the official evaluation.

From people’s experience, CGPA around 2.9-3.1 over 5 from Nigeria tend to converge around 3.0/4 for US after evaluation. I think there’s a good chance you’d meet the 3.0 requirements if you evaluate your transcript.

It’s not reduction, according to US standard your GPA is GOOD! 3.54/4 you are eligible for any scholarship or funding.

Yes, your cgpa will not fall short of 3.0 after evaluation by WES.

Guy my advice here is,
before you apply again.
open your both previous ds160 to see all what you filled there before and compare in other to avoid any discrepancies.
