mikeapollo:I guess you should understand more about this tranche distribution of a thing..... It's in the interest of the share price and shareholders..... Some shareholders complained about flooding the secondary market with shares if all is distributed at once, this must have been factored into the distribution, hence the spreading into tranches. We ought to appreciate this I Blvd. I expect you of all people to appreciate this gesture and this gentleman at least. 6 Likes |

QUICK CALCULATION Ratio 1 for 12 will mean 679,364,206 units (8,152,370,477 / 12) will be distributed in tranche 1 instead of the stated 641,856,301. That leaves a shortfall of 37,507,905 units. If the above is not adjusted, the Tranche 2 might be 1 for 14[or 15]... ![]() |

ojeysky: No, the 36 months is for the redistribution of all the 4.2billion shares. Phase 1 (1,283b shares) is for Tranche 1 (Feb2025, 641m shares) and Tranche 2 (Jun 2025, 641m shares) |

Raider76:I am ok with how ever they want to redistribution it.I have converted to longer than 5 yrs investment. If he had decided not to redistribution and shareholders still get default in debt .what would you have done. All those bad loans banks wrote off in shareholders fund in the past yrs like fbn.what could you do. He has done well in this one for shareholders. If he had gone ahead to delist at #7 plus .what would you have done. When I see good I will appreciate 7 Likes |

yMcy56: And who says I don't understand or appreciate what has been done? When we talk about issues, we should discuss both pros and cons, not just one side. That is how we educate each other. What Oando has done now will benefit everybody, no one is disputing it. But some shareholders were trying to ambush the company and expecting the whole distribution to be done at once, so that they could sell and dump which would have caused problems for the stocks on NGX, as many people could dump it after making huge sudden profits. Oando is also spreading the redistribution as a form of periodic ''stock dividend'' in lieu because they know they may not be able to pay cash dividends in the next 2 or 3 years. That is all I was saying 2 Likes |

Streetinvestor2: Very apt. if you coming from zero and you get to 1 that is 100% gain though in absolute term it might look very small (base effect) Wale is actually betting on the performance of the coy going forward. my reading is that tranche 1 wont be distributed until after June 30th (meaning distribution would be same 1 for 12) while tranche 2 of part 1 might not be distributed until end of FY 2025 hence each distribution would be acting like a dividend and will be timed to coincide with release of result. hmmmmmmm. On second look, this will definitely cause a rally in OandO SP. Tranche 1 Lagbaja has 300,000 units by QD 1(Feb 14). SP =₦75. Ratio is 1:12. Lagbaja gets 25,000units (equivalent of ₦1,875,000). That's about ₦3 per share Tranche 2 Lagbaja now has 325,000 units by QD 2(June 30). SP =₦85. Ratio is 1:15. Lagbaja gets 21,666units (equivalent of ₦1,841,610). That's about ₦4 per share Lagbaja now has 346,666units by QD 3 + ₦7 'DIV' in 2025... ![]() Classic case of tying down and rewarding 'loyalists' KarlTom: 4 Likes |

Princkez: Many ways to skin the cat. Sounds like my xyz way. That way profitability will be accelerated as it is another way of recovering the original funds that was lost leading to the confiscation and redistribution of shares of the former delinquent shareholder. But the redistribution is excellent as it appears management is confident the turnaround they have started will generate enough money to strengthen the balance sheet. |

Princkez: How will that happen? Grab it from shareholders? They would make new offer into Oando after a memo has been released? Based on the released memo, Oando does not have the Unilateral power to withdraw the offer again. Should new investors need to invest, management would relinquish some of their stake, if they feel they need such investment. |
