I have been on this forum for over a decade now, just as I have used smart phones for long over these period, yet I have never made money through my smartphone.

The world is evolving, making 9-5 jobs less desirable coupled with the fact that to live a good life financially in Nigeria, you need to earn in foreign currencies due to the situation of the naira.

I have therefore decided to go into social media content creation (Facebook, tiktok, YouTube, Instagram etc) not just to make money, but because I feel interested in it and I have the ability to put out good content. I have done a little research and still on it, but I know they're great people who are really very experienced in content creation here on this forum.
So I will really appreciate your advice and possibly mentorship on how to grow my social media platforms to monetisation and everything about content creation between now and the end of the year. I am someone who is ready to learn, unlearn and relearn where necessary.

To be a content creator, I know you need some equipment and gadgets. I already have 2 android smart phones and a tablet, but I realise that won't be enough for me to be able to put out good quality content.

I have a budget of around a million naira, now am faced with the decision of which additional equipment (s) to buy to enable me start creating content. I seriously need professional advice from those who are really knowledgeable here.

I have received different advice to get an iPhone 12 pro max or 13 pro max and a laptop and other equipments due to my budget...

Please help me I don't want to make a mistake in buying what I may not really need leaving what maybe very important due to how difficult it is to come by money these days.


Please which equipments are very necessary to have while creating content?

Please s help move this to where I can get more contributions. This is really important to me and I believe many people in my situation will learn as well.

CONTENT CREATION IS A UNIVERSITY... and there FACULTIES called NICHES.

Your NICHE determines your equipment

if you will be showing your face........ then you will need the following

1) RING LIGHT
2) VERY GOOD MICS
3) GOOD ENVIRONMENT WITH AMBIENT LIGHTS
4) PHONE HOLDER THAT MOVES AS YOU MOVE.
5) PHONE TRIPOD STAND
6) A SILENT FAN SO YOU DON'T SWEAT ON CAMERA.

But if your NICHE is FACELESS then what you need is

1) PHONE
2) very crazy APPS for editing.
