Hi guys.

My felicity charge controller throws an “04” error-battery voltage is high. Even when the voltage of the battery is just 12.7V and not anywhere close to. 14.6V.

This has happened before, but I fixed it by disconnecting the entire CC connection and connecting it to another Controller (PWM), and after a while I reconnect back.

But this can be really stressful. Pleas what’s the solution?

I’m really seeing this Felicity charge controller as being useless and overhyped. It’s really frustrating.

I set the Absorbtion to 14.4V, and since you can’t change the float voltage of the Controller if you selected lithium battery “Lib”, it will use the same 14.4V as the Float voltage. However, I know that Lithium ion batteries floats at 13.6V.

Tha maximum charging current is 30Amp.

since this was fixed temporarily before when you had it disconnected, i will advise that you have a pv breaker and a battery breaker on the charge contoller so you can reset it everytime the error pops up.

Reset all to default settings, dont limit the charging current and try it out again. That was how their service centre technician did to mine.

Disconnect all the cables, reconnect them after a while then enter the default settings Manually. We can talk via whatsapp, if there is need for further clarification.

As a Customer service person, I several brand now.
So a Customer reached out this yesterday and his inverter was showing 24.6V with 58% SOC on the battery.

To an average , Our Client has 58% why is inverter showing low Voltage warning, was scared that something is wrong and turned off everything

So according to our client Sun has been poor and battery has not been charging well, So we checked the voltages and told our client your batteries are close to dead, but how do we explain this when battery is showing SOC at 58%..

So we explained LFP voltage curve blablabla. Client was convinced but not fully.

Fast forward to today.

Out of curiosity we received the video of the battery now at 100% but still charging at ~12.8A.

Upon inspection we saw average Voltage at 3.34 means this battery cannot be at 100% it just BMS fooling itself.

So we explained that Flat voltage curve of LFP and informed the client that the Battery will be Fully charged when the average cell voltage is at 3.45 and above and the charging current is Zero Amp.

Client now fully understand the whole LFP Curve and BMS drift.

Please can we allow people share their experience on this platform without attacking the messenger? Some may have things to share, which they may be reluctant to share, if they see attacks on people who share their experience.

Their new rebranded charge controllers are quiet troublesome. Seen people complain about it.
