Enice: But that's not the case. If the man had presented the case as an adopted daughter, they wouldn't deny the application. The basis of the application was that the daughter was his biological child, which a DNA test proved otherwise, you can't put something on nothing and expect it to stand. 4 Likes |

He would have used adoption route if that is suitable. DNA is a standard procedure for the route he chose. You can't adopt an adult. He only got to know about the paternity fraud while filing for her. If he knew when she was a baby may be he would have adopted her. Enice: 4 Likes |

Does it mean that Mr and Mrs Odiete are no longer together as husband and wife? If the mother is documented, then blood ties with the mum will solve the problem. But women, una case tire me oo🙆🙆🙆

Enice:Yes, if she is adopted then there should be documents and proofs ing the adoption. They are not saying the child is adopted, they are claiming biological. It is not because Mr Odiete is an african man. Why did Mr Odiete not tell them the child is adopted from the start? Mr Odiete also provided false document, did you even read the article? 4 Likes |

When dishonesty and promiscuity is the order of the day the implications are far reaching. As a people we need to do better. So unfortunate for the child. 3 Likes |

Calitoscassius: You're not making any sense. Why would he adopt her when he didn't even know she wasn't his biological daughter till he did the DNA test? And if he hid the DNA test, how then could they have known to revoke her I-130 based on the premise of no blood ties. Judging from the story, the man did everything by the book and the fault lies solely on the USCIS for not informing him that her access to the US had been revoked, hence the lawsuit. Did you even read the article? 3 Likes |

Dougad:The man and lady supplied false information. It has nothing to do with the USCIS Yes the man supplied all information on the form on the belief that the information was deemed to be true and correct but unfortunately the information was completely false and laced with fraud. So what do you think will be the end result. 2 Likes |

Calitoscassius:Oga! What I'm saying is that not being a biological parent should not stop someone from being given a residency permit after staying years together as father and daughter. The DNA test should have been carried out at the initial stage. Doing it now is an error 1 Like |

Dougad:You are right, my previous comment was in response to the commenter who suggested that white celebrities managed to obtain citizenship even though their child are adopted, that they rejected Mr Odiete's application because Mr Odiete is an african man. The commenter suggested they were been racist by rejecting his application.. 2 Likes 1 Share |
