Hi Guys, "I have a quick question and dilemma. I am based in Canada and my brother applied for a visitor visa, but it was rejected due to insufficient assets and him not being financially established in Nigeria. I’m wondering if it’s possible to resolve this issue by transferring ownership of land to him through a Gift Deed from our Father, to address the concern about insufficient assets." Would this suffice? Thank you |

Santa2:The VFS Uk website is very straightforward. You can book a two way courier it take your documents to 66 Wilson street , London . EC2A 2BT

Mzstephh: (1) What’s your status in Canada? (2) Will the land just be transferred or sold?….what exactly was the reason stated? Insufficient assets likely mean your brother’s current financial situation cannot fund a vacation travel to Canada. So having a piece of land/real estate gifted to him doesn’t change that. (3) if land will be sold and the proceeds transferred to his , the visa officer will definitely question why a piece real estate is sold just to finance a vacation if he honestly has plans to return back to Nigeria. (4) Is your brother gainfully employed in Nigeria? Did he submit employment letter, Leave of absence approval letter from his company? I’ll suggest you don’t do anything that will make the scrutiny on other of your family higher whenever they apply for Canada visa. |

Mzstephh:transferring ownership of land to him doesn’t make suddenly have home ties/ assets plus the timing of the transfer too. Land that can be sold in absential if he doesn’t come back home after getting to Canada 😩 |

Hello Debiee, Sorry about your sister refusal. Please did they use invitation letter from someone in Canada for their application? Is your sister married with kids? Is she going as accompany person to your mom? Did she submit her statement of ? Please i need a guide as i am planning similar applications for my sister. Plan is to put her as accompany person to my mom Mom has been to US before, just once to visit my elder brother and renewed the visa on her second port - She has valid US visa. Sister is married with a kid - Travel to Benin (Twice), Togo (Once) and Ghana (Twice). She is employed with a monthly salary of about 1.5m and has over 20m in . She has all documents from her company, and she can get letter from her boss. She also has a shop of her own where she has people to manage and only go there on weekend. the shop is ed under CAC. She has all the family pictures, her property and building projects. I will be giving them both invitation letters, my statement of and all documents. I am a PR holder in Canada works in a good company and i also have my personal company ed here in Canada and properties as well. I am confident on my mom because of her valid US visa but a bit skeptical about my sis and i am also confused if i should submit separately or together as a group with my sister accompanying my mom. Please what can you advise. Please Nairalanders, What can you all advise Thanks in advice. Debbieeeeeee: |

Teslas:Our situations are somewhat similar yet slightly different. If your sister's profile is as follows, you may not need to include her under your mom's application. My sister has a significant travel history to the UK and Europe, spanning over 15 years, and she travels regularly. She is single, has no children, and is well-employed, which is why I included her in my mom's application. Although we do have family in Canada through my husband's side, we do not tie our application to anyone; our travels are solely for holidays no invite from anyone for visiting Canada, USA, the UK, and other European countries. In your case, your sister is older, has a husband and kids, and since you are a Permanent Resident, she likely has a better chance of obtaining a visa. Ultimately, securing a visa is often a matter of luck, and having established ties should not be underestimated. |

Please, guys, I have a question I applied for a visit visa for my elder sister to come and see me right here, but it has been denied twice. I applied for GCMs notes and I saw the refusal been debts to the crown. Tbh, I have no idea what that means. Please anyone can help out, I will deeply appreciate it.

Checks from WhatsApp meta (AI): "IRCC GCMS notes refusal due to debts to the crown means that your application was rejected because you have outstanding debts to the Canadian government, also known as "debts to the crown." This can include unpaid taxes, student loans, or other government debts ¹. When a visa application is refused, IRCC typically provides a generic refusal letter that doesn't fully explain the reasons for the refusal. However, the GCMS notes contain more detailed information about the refusal, including the specific reasons why the application was rejected ². In this case, the GCMS notes indicate that the refusal was due to outstanding debts to the crown. This means that you will need to address these debts before reapplying for a visa. It's essential to obtain the GCMS notes to understand the specific reasons for the refusal and to take corrective action ³. To resolve this issue, you may need to: - Pay off outstanding debts: the relevant government department to arrange payment of your outstanding debts. - Provide proof of payment: Once you've paid off your debts, provide proof of payment to IRCC. - Reapply for a visa: After addressing your debts, you can reapply for a visa, ensuring that you provide all required documentation and meet the eligibility criteria. Keep in mind that reapplying for a visa doesn't guarantee approval. It's crucial to carefully review your application and ensure that you've addressed all concerns raised by IRCC". My conclusion: Did you use an agent in the application? He or she may have used an unauthorized ATM card that required charge back (IRCC returning the money used to pay for the application fee) which makes you an automatic debtor of an outstanding Visa Application. Some other persons can give more context. Cease: 1 Like |
Debbieeeeeee: 9:06am On Jan 25 |
Cease:Before this, did she apply on her own? It's possible that she either applied independently, and the agent or card owner initiated a chargeback on her behalf, or the issue stemmed from your side. However, from experience, I know that debts to the crown typically originate from the applicant's side and on rare occasions the inviter. Read the GCMS notes properly or get a second person to read it for you. |

Hello everyone, I submitted my application for a Canada visit visa 10 months ago and have yet to receive a response. Due to this delay, I decided to apply for a USA visa, which has been approved. Can anyone guide me on how to update my USA visa information on the Canadian immigration website? Additionally, will this development help expedite my ongoing visa application that's been pending for 10 months? I would appreciate any advice on how to my USA visa to my Canadian portal. Thank you! 🙏 |
