How many Ekiti people can afford flight ticket? We need railway more than airports in Nigeria.

You are NOT aware of some facts which I will state right below...

There are many Diasporans of Ekiti descent that I know living and working as top-notch professionals in various fields and multimillionaire business moguls in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, even right in Lagos State, Ibadan and Port Harcourt who will be MORE motivated to fly in and explore all the solid minerals and agribusiness investment opportunities in Ekiti State when all is set. The fantastic Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort @GoSeeIkogosi, is a resort of international standard that will attract more tourists and these would stimulate the local economy.

Driving for over 3 hours to get to Ekiti State through Ore town, Ondo City, then Akure in Ondo State from Lagos State can be tiring for a lot of folks. Airports generally stimulate a lot of economic activities especially for people and ethnic groups that have a large Diaspora population living abroad.

Indeed, the rail networks would enable folks within other income ladders in Ekiti State and other states in Nigeria to also easily travel. I stated in one of my earlier posts that Ekiti State has to be linked to the nearby Osogbo by rail. I read an article online where the former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State said former President Muhammadu Buhari gave his word that a rail spur would be constructed to link Osogbo in Osun State to Ekiti State but that wasn't fulfilled as of the time he left office in 2023.
