Nigeria’s opposition leader, Peter Obi on Monday congratulated Donald Trump on his inauguration for a return term as US president.

Obi said Trump's victory is a testament to the resilience of democracy and the enduring will of the American people.

Trump @realDonaldTrump  on his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States of America," Obi wrote on X, making him the first Nigerian politician to congratulate Trump on the platform.
